One of a dying breed (used to be a chain) of unpretentious places you could go after work. Brendan the bartender will greet you like a regular which I'm not as I'm usually too busy. Your Gen Z coworkers won't like it as they don't serve some flourescent colored concoction they saw on their phones and the food comes from the deep fryer. For the rest of us you can enjoy a no-frills drink in a no-frills environment with a no-frills price and there's a Quick Draw machine and a pool table.

Wowowowow - spoke to the staff - they said they were completely closed for SEVENTEEN MONTHS during COVID. It is nothing short of a miracle that they are still here, & since 1968! The no-frills interior belies the amazing food here. This is the best Guiness pour currently available in Manhattan, & the best Reuben sandwich. The Buffalo wings were also on point. I would also say that this is the best place for lunch in all of far-downtown Manhattan. To be fair & balanced, I will say that I did not love the fries, as they are shoestring-style, & I prefer steak fries, but they are still good. Time passes like nothing here - beware !

Traditional Irish pub through and through. Stopped in for a pint and a bite, glad we did. The jalapeño poppers were great and well portioned. Would recommend!

Have been coming to area for 9/11 for the past 22 years and thankfully happened upon this pub. I'm not saying it isn't a little slightly worn looking but don't let looks fool you. I don't think wife was too thrilled when we walked in but initial plan was just a drink since we where going to find somewhere "nicer" to eat. We shared the 2 hotdogs and fries after seeing some food come out. It was amazing and reasonably priced. We did go elsewhere later only to be disappointed at Treadwell Park bar. We decided to return next day and had a Reuben a Racheal and shared onion rings which were delicious! The staff and bartender was great, friendly and competent.

Branden, our bartender, was very sociable and kind. The bar is clean and simple. Plenty of choices: whiskey, wine, and tea.

Quite possibly one the most quaint Irish bars within reach of battery park and World trade. Well known drinks on tap accompanied by a warm friendly welcome. If you’re around downtown Manhattan and want a traditional beer in a traditional New York Irish bar then you can’t go far wrong with this place.

Surprisingly quiet place for a Friday night. Tasty food and very friendly staff.
