Great host at the door, great table and staff. The drinks were good. Expected a great steak for the price and it was "meh" at best. Even the sides lacked real flavor.

Food was mediocre at best. There were two drunk men, clearly over-served, who had to be escorted out (almost broke into a fight), and the entire place was like a scene from the 50s. A ton of middle-aged white men overcrowding the bar. We counted 5 women in the whole place! It was one of the most bizarre scenes for NYC.

For nearly two decades, I've frequented this establishment, finding it to be the epitome of excellence among New York City's myriad dining options. From the impeccable service to the tantalizing array of dishes, every aspect of the dining experience here surpasses expectations, making it an enduring favorite of mine.

Great tasty food in a pleasant atmosphere. We had a delicious three course meal with an alcoholic beverage in Manhattan without spending a fortune. Bobby Van's is a well run restaurant with professional staff. I highly recommend this restaurant. I will definitely be back soon.

I am wondering when this site was updated. All the prices listed here still the same in 2024. I haven't been to Bobby fans in a long time. I don't know why I haven't. I missed the place. I want to start going back.

Went here on a sort of double date. I actually go on a date ever so often .( meeting her friend here) service was friendly and efficient. We sat at a corner table that could be made into a larger table. The snap up part wouldn't stay snapped underneath and was hitting my legs. They finally took notice and put it up to extend the table. My friend and her friend ordered burgers ( dam they looked great). I ordered the steak Cobb salad. It was totally underwhelming. He ordered the same thing and complained the steak was tough. Mine was ok. I'll give them 4 stars based on service. But not worth a second visit

We had a 5:30 dinner on a Saturday. Almost no one else in the place until we left close to 8pm. we had the dinner for two special at $150 including bottle of wine. The wine and food were all delish. Service was super attentive, yet not intrusive. My ONLY complaint? Welcome to my first $24 martini!! Holy smokes.

Received a call from the manager Dan and he provided some great table options before we showed up since we wanted something good for 12 people where we could talk. He came over and asked how everything was when we got there. Highly recommend. Great service and great food for a company celebration.

The food was delicious and the staff was very accommodating of a party of 7 with 3 under the age of 14 {on December 30th, no less - super busy}. The restaurant was beautiful as was the food presentation. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for a good steakhouse near Time Square.

We started with an order of bake clams oregano, which were very good and then we had the Barada and tomato salad, which also was very good and then is an entrée. We did the short ribs with risotto, which was also very good. The problem was with the cocktails the two of us ordered Angels and the old fashions the server brought over our drinks and we looked at them as though they were clear liquid. Then we tasted them and it taste like a Shirley Temple. It was nothing but sweet, clear liquid. We both looked at each other at the same exact time, and couldn't believe what we were tasting , we told our lovely waitress that these drinks need alcohol. The bartender comes over with two extra shots with an attitude saying he put two shots in the original glasses and here are additional two more shots, which then it finally tasted like an old fashion so long story short dinner was good Drinks extremely disappointing what I go back I don't think so. Too many other good steakhouses in Manhattan. I hope this review helps you.

I wrote a scathing review of the Times Square location without contacting the restaurant. I seriously apologize!!! After speaking at length to the manager, after an incredibly friendly exchange, I truly wish I had talked to him before writing a review on Yelp! See A. DiRubbo. Of course, he was totally willing to accommodate me due to my poor experience, but more than that, he really understood and listened. Not this 'rush' to accommodate! Will definitely recommend it. IN THE FUTURE, CALL THE RESTAURANT AND YELP AS A LAST RESORT!

Visited Bobby Van’s and had an amazing evening with my wife and teenage kids! We ordered Applewood smoked bacon for an appetizer, it has wrecked all other bacon - highly recommend. For main meals we ordered steak filet, salmon & chicken with roasted vegetables, broccoli and fries, all cooked wonderfully. For dessert a crème brûlée, key lime pie and chocolate cake - delicious. Costs were about $350 for four, plus tax and tip put it at ~$450. Service was fantastic, all round a wonderful dinner experience and would recommend.
