This spot is great.I stopped by for a quick bite and water when traveling in this neighborhood. The food was fresh, delicious and perfect as a bite size of sorts.I would highly recommend this as a quickly place to stop and enjoy a bite and a cup of coffee. The outside seating was also great.I would absolutely go back if necessary.

I just finished watching a show at the Lincoln center and wanted a light meal before I go home, I stumbled onto this bakery, thinking it would be a nice, friendly experience, but I was wrong. The workers were super judgemental and rude to me. I noticed them staring at me and talking in a hush tone but I didn't pay no mind until I tried to get my food to go because I couldn't finish it but no one attended to me even though they saw me holding my food in hand and trying to get their attention. They continued to talk and laugh, and when I finally got my to go bag, the woman throws the bag on the counter and doesn't tell me if it's mine. Such rude and disgusting behavior. The only reason fo the two stars is because the food was good. Other than that, my total experience has been horrible. The workers here today need to be trained in manners and respect, which clearly they do not have. This is my first and last time here.

If you know me, you know that I'm Breads Bakery's biggest fan. I can't pass one without stepping in and grabbing a treat! My friend and I went and ordered coffee along with a pain au chocolat. I was a bit disappointed to see that they made my friend's order to stay and mine to go though we both indicated we'd be staying. They even gave him a banana cake on the house which they said came with the coffee, but for some reason they didn't give me one? They gave me my pastry and coffee to go which was a bummer, so it seems the service is consistent to say the least. I'll likely stick to the union square location when I have my Breads Bakery craving next time, but this is still a favorite spot of mine regardless.

Breads Bakery's food is delicious and their customer service is awesome. I highly recommend the loaf cakes (banana, lemon, and coconut chocolate chip). The cheese straws are amazing and even more delicious when warm. The rugelach are soft and the chocolate filling is very good. Breads Bakery's seasonal chocolate hamantaschen is so good; I wish they sold them all year and I hope they will introduce raspberry in the future. We encountered an issue with our last order and customer service was phenomenal to deal with. Special thanks to Rachel who turned what could have been a negative into a super positive for us. We will definitely be ordering again.

Best hot chocolate in the US.This is not powder in hot water (lowest of low), nor is it air-blown cream with chocolate syrup (standard US hot chocolate).I'm no sophisticated world traveler, but I've had thick molten hot chocolate in Europe before, and this is that stuff. It's mind-blowing. It's some kind of magical viscous substance. It's like the insides of a chocolate lava cake. Just barely liquid enough to drink.I used a spoon to meticulously scrape out all of the extra stuff around the inside edges. Been fantasizing about going back later today again.
