Visiting NYC and after a visit to the MET stopped by for a cupcake. Did not disappoint! Vanilla cupcake, cream puff as recommended by staff, and blueberry muffins the next day on the way home. Staff said everything baked that day. Thank you for the one of few great food experiences on my trip! Which is shocking and very sad BTW.
Oh my goodness!! This place has the most amazing treats!! I got a cream puff & a whoopie pie & I get double checking their website to make sure they really are gluten free (even though the sack said “gluten free”) because they were truly the most delicious ones I’ve had. Amazing. Might be my new favorite bakery!!Dietary restrictions: The bakery is gluten free and dairy free, which was great for my wheat allergy.
The apple cake was amazing! Also love that it is a dedicated gluten free establishment.

Ordered a small treat for my wife’s Birthday… snow storm wreaked havoc on NYC. Schools were closed and most businesses, travel was ill advised. I originally went into By The Way for a friend who needed gluten free pastries. However, everything was so delicious I now go to By The Way for all desserts—for anyone!

We live in nearby Dobbs Ferry, we have came by a few times for special occasions (birthdays, valentines, etc) and have not been disappointed. I wasn’t sure if Gluten Free, Non-Dairy and Kosher would taste different, for their cakes you hardly notice any difference than one that is not those things. It’s not an inexpensive place as evident by their locations but you get an excellent product from them which makes them worth going to.

I first had By the Way at my friends place. She served cupcakes from here and they were literally the best cupcakes I’ve ever had, I had to ask her where she got them.Didn’t even know it was GF and DF! So don’t think that just because this place is GF/DF that it won’t taste as good … it is better than any of the no dietary restriction cakes I’ve had.
