First time dining here. My wife and I love authentic Mexican food so we were looking forward to a great meal. First, let me start off by saying that Casa Carmen offers a visually appealing ambiance. However, despite its elevated decor, the meal and service fell short of expectations. While the menu seemed enticing, the execution fell flat. We ordered the guacamole, tostadas de cangrejo, Garnachas Orizabeñas, trio de quesadilla, and tacos de carnitas.Guacamole: Average, plain guacamole, nothing to write home about. Tortilla chips were nice.Garnachas Orizabeñas: these were our least favorite. Overly oily, lacked flavor, and sloppy presentation. Almost no brisket on this dish, mostly small cubes of potato on a tortilla. Also, quite oily.Trio de quesadilla: Again, a very average dish. Oil drowned the tortilla causing it to become quite soggy and unappetizing. Too heavy on the cheese.Tostadas de cangrejo: The crab tostadas were enjoyable. Flavors were interesting, could have used more seasoning but all ingredients had a nice freshness.Adding to the disappointment was the indifferent service. The waitstaff seemed a bit disinterested and inattentive. When I brought the food issues to the waiters attention he said he would bring a manager. 5 minutes later he comes back with the check with the items removed but not much of an explanation and seemed pretty indifferent about our experience.Wanted to enjoy it but this missed the mark for me.

This place was awesome!! I asked how long takeout would be, and the very kind host said he could make it extra fast. the food was ready in literally under 7 minutes, it was wild!! and delicious! got cheese enchiladas and quesadillas. the vibes inside were great, the decor was stylish - I hope to go back when i’m in less of a rush so I can enjoy the restaurant to the fullest, and try the drinks :)

Had a really nice experience here! The place has a really calm ambience, warm wood tones. Recommend the quesadillas (fresh blue and white corn tortillas) and ceviche. Everything tasted authentic, clean and fresh. They gave us some mole on the house which was so good. The cocktails were all excellent. Our bartender was also super nice. Will definitely be back!

We loved the restaurant’s aesthetic. The food was good but not excellent or phenomenal as our server described some of the dishes we ordered. Majority of our dishes lacked in flavor. We were hopeful with the deserts we ordered but sadly we were extremely disappointed. The churros were hard as a rock, tres leches cake was very dense, and the mango sorbet was very basic with a dash of Tajín powder. Unfortunately, the prices did not reflect quality in my opinion.

The food was fairly tasty but all the portions were crazy tiny and the entrees felt incomplete so struggle to give it that high of a rating. For instance, the fish entree I ordered was cooked well but was literally just a piece of fish in sauce without any sides or anything else on the plate. And for the price point and how much we ordered, and how hungry we still were after we left, it would be hard to justify returning. All that said, if you do come here, we enjoyed the crab tostadas and the corn truffle side, which we found unique. They take reservations on resy. We were able to walk in without a reservation but got the last two seats at the bar. If you want a table, I would recommend making a reservation.

We had an extraordinary dinner. The margarita was fabulous, salsa and chips are not to be missed, chicken enchiladas and carnitas tacos were plentiful without being chain restaurant large and chichi restaurant miniature. Both were fabulous. Loved the churros for dessert- nailed it! The staff was extremely attentive without being annoying. They’ve thought of everything including little table-side coat and purse hooks. The ambience and decor are soothing but not boring. Really surprised to find this gem of a restaurant. Go enjoy it before you can’t get a reservation!

I recently had dinner at Casa Carmen with a friend who works nearby. We decided to visit based on recommendations we saw on TikTok and other online reviews. The service & ambiance of the restaurant was outstanding, with a beautiful interior and well-set tables. The food surpassed our expectations, as it offered truly authentic Mexican cuisine. I highly recommend giving Casa Carmen a try, whether it's for a date night or a casual dinner. The drinks were also fantastic, perfectly mixed and delightfully strong.
