The service was a little slow but we had the whole restaurant to ourselves so no complaints - it was basically a quiet little oasis in the middle of this noisy city. Half of the menu is similar to the one at May Kaidee if you're familiar with that place, the other half is more "fruitarian" although I don't think they define fruitarian as a diet purely based on fruit. The influence is Thai-Indian. Nothing was overly oily or salty which is just what I hope for when I eat out. Portions could be slightly bigger. I'll be back to try more things!

Delicious and gluten-free! As a vegan, it can be challenging to find a restaurant that offers gluten-free options. Fortunately, Chakra provides a wide range of delicious dishes that cater to individuals who must avoid gluten. The menu is diverse, and the sauces are incredibly flavorful, while still staying true to traditional Thai tastes. Furthermore, the portion sizes are generous, and the service is exceptional! I highly recommend this restaurant!

I had the steamed dumpling and summer rolls and they were both amazing!!! All the ingredients were so fresh and delicious! The shredded veggies in the summer roll and the shredded cabbage, green bean and chickpeas in a wheat dumpling wrapping. The ambiance, setting and vibe of the restaurant is really nice and everyone was super friendly! I highly recommend Chakra kitchen to everyone

We loved our experience at Chakra! The food is great. We had the dumplings, tom kha soup, green curry, papaya and mango salad and fried rice. They make a few different types of dumplings including a Jain version. Definitely the only place in New York that offers this! The dining room has a meditative vibe with warm lighting and soft traditional Thai music. I'm looking forward to trying more items on the menu and coming back!

Absolutely delicious. The curries were hearty and delicious. Didn't feel like any flavor was missing. The noodles were also delicious.

I normally do not eat gluten free, vegan, or vegetarian, but this place was just amazing! The food is exquisite, every dish was just right, best spring roll I've had since my grandma's, the peanut sauce was so light yet full bodied, the salad dressings brought out the flavors rather than cover them....My friend booked the place for her birthday party, the wine selection was really nice, the owner was attentive to our requests and we had a wonderful time. The place is not big but offers a cozy and warm setting, which was perfect for our small party.I used to avoid dining out in vegan places, I thought the food was weird and tasted strange, this place totally changed that, so i will definitely bring my fussy vegan and vegetarian friends here going forward, and would recommend this restaurant to everyone for nice meal with friends or a small dinner party! Thanks Jonathan, for make this event fun and memorable.Vegetarian options: Vegan and vegetarian dishes that are so delicious, delicate flavors and guilt free, dining out without compromising!

Delicious vegan food in a cozy restaurant. Try the dumplings, curry dishes and their drunken noodles.

Incredible food, service and ambiance. It's not a loud place, but rather had more of a zen feel with tables that are separated well. They have vegan versions of some more traditional Thai dishes like haw mok, laab and pad woon sen that are harder to find at other restaurants. The flavors are really spot on and the food felt healthier than some other Thai places (less oil or coconut milk, more flavor). And the service was incredibly friendly. It felt like I was dining in a friend's home.

The rolls we had catered were fresh and delicious. I loved the sauces that came with the meal and it all mixed together with the rice very well. Delicious vegetarian options and I can’t wait to eat there again!

I ate their summer rolls with a house made peanut sauce which tasted so much better than the kind that comes in a jar. This place I'll definitely try again.Vegetarian options: Amazing vegetarian selection!!
