Place is not open and not at this address. They are hopefully reopening in Essex Market but for now they are closed!

Some of the best food I've ever had in my well traveled life. I always recommend it to people to visit and I was last there 7 years ago.

this place is a rat infested dump and the bread is moldy and the customer service is zero

It says on Google they are under construction so I assume they should be reopening. This place is a hole in the wall (literally) I walked right by it when looking for it. It's a very dope spot tho, they are playing music inside the workers are so chill. They have one menu up and there are not too many items on it which for me it's perfect , sometimes I like not having to choose from too much. I got their chicken sandwich, it comes on a biscuit with gravy and boyyyyy was it good. The gravy was so creamy and good and the crispy chicken was doing what it had to do! I've already came back two more times ! (I only gave 4 stars instead of 5 because I haven't tried anything but the chicken sandwich)

Damn, i took forever to write this review and haven't been in months and now i see it's closed, wtf? Anyways heres the review I had written: This place has changed A Lot since the original location, but only as far as store looks go and updated technology and how you order and pay. The sandwiches are still fire tho. Not even a dine in spot anymore. Whole different vibe and setup, unfortunately.. only thing i can rate them on now is the delicious food... will always have my memories of the original location which was dope. Food still comes out fast and hot and people are still nice. I'll keep coming here with no end in sight. Easy to walk past the spot if you aint payin attention.. don't walk past, go in and feed yo self!

The chicken biscuits were soooooo good! Sad they closed. Kind of hoped they relocated.

Tasty! Comfort food with a New Orleans twist to it

Sheesh!! For the price of $7, this sandwich is unbeatable. Between a warm, buttery biscuit is a sizable piece of friend chicken. It is well seasoned and a formidable opponent to a sit down restaurant's friend chicken sandwich (as opposed to fast food). It is accompanied by a red cabbage slaw which adds color and attempts to cut through the greasy gravy. I wasn't too fond of the gravy as it tasted very creamy almost (unlike the gravy I usually have at thanksgiving?). I would probably skip the gravy when ordering again but this is personal preference. The one fall back is that it is SUPER greasy... I am not a fan of friend food in general and thought the oil/butter slathered onto to the biscuit was an overkill but despite this, I thoroughly enjoyed this sandwich! Service was a little slow (although I am assuming this because they make the sandwiches to order! It was very warm after all) and our cashier was super friendly.

Want to give this 4.5Good value. Tasty. Just misses 5 full... need a few more MPH on fastball to get to 5 stars.

Cheap and very high quality. Got the chicken (fried chicken biscuit sandwich). It was pretty small so I'd get two things.Beignets are awesome. Bread pudding is very good but a bit small & it was only partially heated up.
