An incredible dining experience but will definitely leave your wallet lighter. We had the Astice, Grilled octopus, Anatra, Fusilli, a bottle of wine and torta formaggio that you MUST try. Eric G. was our server and he was perfect.

This is definitely a Michelin star quality restaurant. Outstanding service, delicious menu. And if you like Tiramisu, you will not be disappointed. This place has the world’s absolute best Tiramisu. I don’t want to ruin your surprise, so I will not describe it. Just try it and let me know what you think.

I only visit New York for business maybe twice in 3 years and there had been a bit if a longer break due to the Covid years. So, first time back for business since 2019 and I again booked a table at one of my favorite restaurants. The welcome was friendly ("nice to see you back Mr...." - which of course their computer tells then ;-)) and the place as busy as usual. Service was impeccable, Martini perfectly served, choice of dishes excellent and cooked to perfection. Overall, the same great experience which I had always had. Hopefully, I will be able to return soon!

I love New York. This epitomizes the class and elegance of this incredible city. The food, the wine and the service were beyond good. You’ll probably never have a better cut of meat than the veal filet with sweet

right, then never bought to our table. Before being able to remind them we were missing a drink he had already bought the bill to our table (the very second we finished desert, without us having asked for it). They managed to simultaneously make it feel as though we were being rushed through our meal while also feeling ignored. The restaurant itself is not a special place. The decor is bland, the lighting is really bright and the temperature was uncomfortably warm. The restaurant plays cheesy 80s pop songs a bit too loud to ignore and the service table next to us had a thick coat of dust as though it hasn't been cleaned for a while. Small things but I would expect more at this price point and of a restaurant that markets itself in this bracket. Ultimately they are charging prices which the experience in no way justifies. The food is decent, but not close to being good enough to overlook all of the other shortcomings. There is nothing we experienced that would encourage us to come back or recommend this restaurant to anyone else.

Marea has maintained its high standard for top quality food and service. The rock lobster with burrata remains a gem. This evening I had the branzino, which was also excellent. Marea is a fabulous spot for lunch or dinner.

Delicious food, located on Central Park South near Columbus Circle, excellent service, expensive!! ??. Began a very pleasant afternoon here, followed by a meander through the Park.

I had a family brunch over the weekend. I’ve been to this restaurant before and was pretty happy with it. As usual, the waiter service was fantastic and the quality of food remains great. For me, the time between my appetizers and the main course was too long. The octopuss and lobster appetizers were fantastic. For the price of pastas, the portion was just too small. The scallop entree had 3 medium sized scallops with vegetables for $52. I know the inflation is up but this is a bit ridiculous. I would rather pay a bit more and go back to the Brooklyn Fare.

"Service from hostess to wait staff and servers was excellent. My daughter has celiac disease. They were knowledgeable and helpful and even brought us a dessert… tiramisu to try because it was gluten free and the waiter was so proud. My daughter loved it and had never been able to try it before. I have been to the restaurant at least 10 times and I always love it… the food.. the service and ambience. All excellent

Good evening, I was at Marea NYC today and I had a bad experience. My reservation was confirmed for 08:30pm, but I arrived at 07:45pm. The hostel asked to wait because the table wasn't ready yet, so far so good. However, the Hostel clearly made a prejudgment because he was wearing a sweatshirt and left us waiting at the door without even offering to take our coats (mine and my girlfriend's). Meanwhile, several people arrived, and the service was clearly different, and soon offering a place to sit. The neglect was so great that when there were 2 places left at the Bar, instead of taking us to sit down, they invited another couple who had just arrived. We stayed there until 8:18 pm without sitting down and in front of the door, while other people arrived and soon settled down. When we saw this, we decided to leave, outraged by the lack of attention and, mainly, by the total disregard of the Hostel.

We went here after a few years for a special occasion. The appetizers and the pasta were just fantastic, some of the best pasta dishes we have ever had, particularly good were the Mezzaluna and the Fussili. The cocktails were good, but quite pricey at around 25$. The service was just right: friendly and efficient, but not hovering around you. The place was packed on a Saturday evening. Strongly recommended.

My fiancé and I visited Marea for my birthday on a busy Friday evening in mid-November. We could not have had better service - each member of the team involved in our service was kind, attentive, and never made us feel like they were in a rush. For appetizers, we enjoyed the ricci (sea urchin) which was bursting with flavor, and the Catalonian blue prawn tartare, which was my personal favorite - so aesthetically pleasing to the eye with its vibrant blue color. For dinner, I chose the capesante (scallops), and my fiancé had the casarecce (lump crab and uni purée) dish. We both loved our selections. For dessert, I had the torta de formaggio (pumpkin), which was absolutely divine. I was also provided with a special birthday dessert and candle - a lovely and thoughtful touch. Cocktails were also expertly made. We felt incredibly special the entire evening. I have traveled extensively around the globe, but this was somehow my first NYC visit. This dinner was the star of the show, hands down. Thank you so much, Marea! I plan on returning soon during a couple of upcoming trips.
