I recently had the pleasure of trying Chickpea in Penn Station, New York, and I must say it was an unforgettable experience. I like the food. But the service I beyond terrible. I order a hummus plate and they put 2 spoon fulls worth of hummus which amounts to a very thin layer of hummus on the bottom of the bowl. This isn't the first time either, it's been going on for years and it's always the same cheapskate dude putting as little hummus as possible. I would love to grab a bowl everyday after work but they make it so hard to want to give them my business. The hummus is suppose to be the heart of the meal!!! Not a measly dressing or condiment.

This place is a ripoff! I went there with a friend of mine and a man with glasses told me the price and I did not hear him correctly and I gave him $10 more by mistake. My friend who was standing next to me immediately pointed out the error and I asked the man with the glasses for the $10 back. He lied and said I never gave him 10 extra dollars! He refused to cooperate with my friend and me. I will never go back there

Late last night, my friend and I got the Mixed Berry Frozen Yogurt parfait while waiting for our train, and it was delicious. Best part, it was made with all fresh fruit. We watched the server slice bananas for each parfait. This was our first time at Chickpea in Penn Station, and would definitely return.

All are done quite well and presented well. The prices are comparable to what you're going to find on the outside, and the service is very professional.Vegetarian options: Numerous, being a mostly vegetable eatery.Kid-friendliness: Very friendly. Very professional.Parking: Parking is a bit of a distance away.Wheelchair accessibility: Elevator from street level to concourse levels. No door, wide open entrance. I don’t why the rating is so low!! Super super super clean place and you can literally taste the freshness of their produce! I had a classic falafel pita sandwich and I asked him to make mine spicy and the kick of garlic in between mixed with their signature yogurt sauce as well as the tahini sauce was amazing!! ????
