Very homey quaint italian dinner spot. Bolognese was a tad bit heavy but overall very delicious. Try their burrata and octopus specials. Their seafood linguine had the perfect texture.

The food is very tasty and has a fairly acceptable variety. The service was not so attentive, but acceptable. The atmosphere is a little small for the number of diners. recommendable

Fantastic Italian food. Possibly the one of the best values in terms of quality and reasonable price.

Discovered this place on a random Monday night and I’m so glad I did because everything we ordered was amazing. Definitely try the cheesecake, you won’t be disappointed.

Exceptional, neighborhood restaurant with great service and where you'll feel like you're at home. Nice wine collection and delicious dishes that include a unique Mac& cheese dish with truffles. Orecchiete dish was exceptional and must try the Tiramisu for dessert

Our first time here. Great experience. The menu is creative and inspiring! Not everyday Italian. We shared a lamb chop appetizer and beer salad. Bothe excellent. Main was shrimp artichoke pasta. Fresh tasting Service was personal and efficient. Good NYC experience

MiddlingService and atmosphere were good but the food was just okay. Maybe stick with Italian American classics as the meatballs we had as a shared appetizer were great. Everything else was squarely in the realm of 'okay.'Am I upset that we ate here? Not really but also kind of, yes - because when you live in New York, going out and having a meal that's just okay is a travesty.

This address was recommended by the Michelin guide. However what we are was nothing but short from a Michelin reco. Watery tomato tasteless with a plastic like mozzarella. Then ok pasta but nothing crazy. Yes it is pretty cheap but for a reason. The service was good and friendly. Lively atmosphere

This was our third time at Cotenna but it might be our last. The service and ambiance were good but our pasta dishes left a lot to be desired. Case in point: their Rigatoni e Gamberi (spicy grilled shrimp, garlic, tomato) NOT GRILLED, NOT SPICY AND NOT A HINT OF GARLIC. We dined with two other couples having a great time and enjoying the complimentary bread and asked for more which prompted an awkward exchange between the staff and made us feel uncomfortable for asking.

Everything here was delicious! It is a very intimate restaurant. It seems like a really nice place to have a date night or a small girls night. The waitress was also really sweet and tentative to us especially since we were a larger party. All of us loved each dish that we got, including all of the appetizers and the dessert. The drinks were also really strong and tasted really delicious. I would come again if given the chance :)

Cute little spot perfect for date night or catching up with a friend. Prices are super reasonable. The place is tiny though so plan to have a reservation. Best for small parties, it’s a tight squeeze!

food is really good, amazing tuna tartar and fresh lamb.... not so incredible pasta with mushrooms, but good tooanyway, my incredible problem was that for the very first time after almost 200 restaurant reviews (really well recorded here on Google and even more on my mind) ... I paid USD 0.00 as a tip... oh gosh, so terrible service, even spending almost 100 dollars per person....even though the food was good, considering such small space and really terrible service - it's almost impossible to recommend it...if you want to go, good luck ?
