I ended up booking da Claudio last minute while in the area on a Tuesday night without ever having heard of the restaurant before. Stylish dining room, friendly staff and unpretentious and authentic Italian food made for a very pleasant experience. The bruschetta and gnocchi stood out and the Negroni was very well made.
Following a recent trip to Italy, I wanted to feel "Italy" again. So my coworkers and I decided to go here for happy hour. We left work early because it was the Friday before Labor Day. They told us to come back at 4:30 and so we did. We sat outside, ordered drinks and saw they had Carpaccio Di Bresaola on the menu which I had in Italy. It didn't disappoint. The drinks were unique as well. Service was attentive and dining area is lovely. The owner also checked on us. Would definitely go back here for lunch or dinner. If you're craving authentic Italian, this is the place when you're Downtown.
Lobster ravioli was very good. The spinach fettuccine that my friend had was incredible. Wait was minimal and the service was good. Small portions. Gives bread. Good food and nice atmosphere.
Must try the burrata! I also order the arugula salad on the side and eat together. So delicious!
The food was incredible and the staff was friendly and hospitable, one of the best meals I've ever had.
Da Claudio is just around the corner! It was our first time and let me tell you. Delicious. The bread with olive oil as a starter is classic, and the salad was simple, but the pastas blew my mind away! Would def recommend the black linguine over the spinach fettuccine, but the Shishito peppers in the fettuccine was unique and worth a try !
Had an early dinner there with another family. Greeted warmly and attended to nicely throughout. Fine apps. Had a very good shrimp ravioli. Probably could have had a bit bigger portion though. Extensive Italian wine selection.
Not my usual haunt but an absolutely delightful charmer in the heart of the financial district. Warm, inviting and thoroughly unpretentious thankfully foregoing the Italiano overkill that plagues some places looking to remind you you're consuming the most popular cuisine on earth in a Tuscan diorama. I thoroughly enjoyed a simple meal of prosciutto de parma and black linguini with prawns. Service was immaculate with a light touch allowing guests to linger over a cappuccino and conversation without the overbearing urge to turn tables that plaques some NYC eateries. A fine evening of great food and wonderful atmosphere in an unexpected location. An easy five stars.
The service was great, very friendly and welcoming. The food was good.
Lovely modern Italian in the heart of the Financial District. We were greeted warmly on arrival and seated at a very comfortable corner table towards the back, where we had a partial view of the busy kitchen. Staff was welcoming and attentive, checking in often to see that we were happy throughout the meal. Excellent Caesar salad was followed by a pasta bolognese made with wagyu beef--deep, rich and out of this world. All was accompanied by marvelous fresh bread and a bright olive oil. It's rare when the details are all perfect--a great find! Recommend highly.
So happy Claudio and Linda had reopened after Barazini and had to see they had a chance to take a break and visit Italy this summer! This was our first visit. Overall the food was fresh and tasty. The octopus sadly was not charred but simply grilled. The combo with potatoes, tapanade and capers gave good flavor. Pasta with lamb ragu was tasty, though minced lamb cut differently (shred perhaps) would have been better. Caesar salad was tasty with parmesan chips as a nice touch. Price point too high at $15. Salad though was enough to share and a tad too much dressing Service was uneven as single server for all tables with one in training. All fixable though, as finished app plates remaining on table, no offer for parm cheese etc. Leonardo bus boy was fantastic. Got to support C+ L post covid and will give it another shot.:)
This place is a gem! The staff are friendly, engaging and attentive without being overbearing. The food was outstanding and came out at an excellent pace. Apps, entree, dessert, drinks - excellent!!! We are outside so the noise was NYC. Inside I bet was as wonderful as the service. While we were outside we could hear the staff engaging with their neighbors which made the experience even better. If you haven’t been - go!
The food and drink are fantastic. The service couldn’t be better. Second time to visit this place. Lots of outdoor dining. The one multi seafood dish is world class.
Food delicious, as always. My mother and son friends from the Philippines joined my at an outside table. The service was attentive and warm-hearted. This is a wonderful neighborhood restaurant.
