What a gem! I cannot say enough about this bar. Terrific cocktails and drinks, a chill vibe and relatively quiet on a busy street. If you're looking for something more, probably not the place for you. I also loved how you're able to bring in food since they don't have a kitchen. There's a pizzeria right around the corner that we were able to bring in. Also, I would say.. pretty reasonably priced. I would definitely go back and recommend to others. I have been going to bars since I turned 18. That's 50 years, and many bars. Deacon Brodie's is the best. Small, dark, with terrific, personable bartenders who know how to mix a cocktail. With an ever changing beer selection as well. I feel almost as comfortable sitting at this bar as I do in my own living room.

I have been going to one bar or another for over 50 (!) years, but my search for the best bar has ended. Deacon Brodie's is small, dark, beautifully decorated, and employs the three best bartenders I have yet to encounter (particularly Chris). While you can't get food here, you can get expertly mixed cocktails using the finest quality garnishments and an ever changing choice of beer. Two freshly refurbished bathrooms as well. A terrific place to hang out.
