This place has gone downhill since the days they were at 200 Vesey Street. Today I went in and ordered a tuna salad with swiss on toasted rye. They have a proper toaster but it hasn't worked in months. So they put the bread on the sandwich press to toast it, which flattens the bread, and doesn't properly toast it. The guy struggled a little to peal the "toast" off the surface of it. When making the sandwich, he skimped on the tuna salad, which didn't even taste very good. $9.50...read full review
This venue is a bit pricey with a small cup of soup running about $6 - but all of the soups are outstanding. The sandwiches are also top quality, as are the desserts. Breakfast items include yogurts, muffins, and bagels. You have to queue up to request your food and then pay at the cashier - so not fancy but quite good.

Generally good people but when ordering a bagel with butter, no toasting, it should not be toasted and you should not use cream cheese instead of butter. I don't like cream cheese and scraped most of it off...Days later: I am guessing that toasted bagels are the default and if you want it untoasted you have to watch them and make sure your bagel does not wind up in the toaster, which is fine since they're generally very nice people behind the counter though most people don't watch...read full review
