Ordered delivery via Caviar. I got the Kunming Tender Beef Rice Noodle. From their online description, "A special beef rice noodle dish that can be found everywhere in Kunming. A flavorful combination of 3-hr slow cooked tender beef chunks, fresh mint, chives, and picked vegetables." I think it would have tasted a lot more amazing dining there in person, but unfortunately they decided to permanently close :(

Authentic Yunnan noodles in East Village! The Beef noodle soup is SO flavorful and meat so tender, it really hits the spot especially in the cold winter nights. The dry pork tofu noodle is also super flavorful, it reminds me of half dwenjang jjigae and half jjajangmyun LOL. I've never had tofu pudding on noodles before and I enjoyed the contrast of the textures !!

Glad I was able to fulfill my cravings for authentic Yunnan rice noodle dishes so close to home. We got the Little Pot and Dong China, plus a few appetizers. Everything was delicious and the texture of the rice noodles was spot on.

i saw that this place had an impressive average of 5 stars on yelp and had to check it out! needless to say, i was not disappointed. i'm not one to eat spicy food, but their yunnan cuisine still intrigued me. i placed my order through their website, and my order was ready for pickup when i got there. i'm not sure if they accept cash. at the time they also had outdoor seating, with a couple of tables set up on the road. i'm unsure if they have heaters or anything during the wintertime right now, though. the staff were really friendly and are open to talk to the customers if theyre having a hard time choosing something! 7/25/20 -tofu rice noodle with pork: this dish comes with rice noodles, tofu pudding, ground peanuts, chopped chives, pickled vegetables, minced pork cooked with bean paste. the rice noodles were so chewy and and tofu pudding was really silky. the additional pickled vegetables and chives also kept the taste of this dish interesting. the minced pork was perfectly cooked and so flavorful. the only downside to this was that it was so spicy, even though i marked "no spicy" as the spice level. on the other hand, maybe my spice level tolerance is just unreasonably low. the portion of food was generous, and i could barely finish the entire bowl in one sitting. for only $12.50, this was so worth it! i think they raised this price on this to $13 now, though. (4/5) overall, i really wish i could give this place 4.5 stars! i definitely appreciate how simple their menu options are, and there's something for everything. i would recommend you try out their tofu rice noodle with pork, since it seems to be one of their more popular dishes. i love how affordable the prices are, and you can get a tasty, filling meal without draining your wallet. i can't wait to come back in the future!

What an amazing find. I mean DAMN. It's such a great meal to have especially when you want something warm and full of flavor. The beef noodle soup was delicious, the meat was super tender so good and the chilli oil dumplings were also so good. There were no leftovers at all haha.

Cosy spot near Tompkins Square Park specializing in southwestern Chinese food. Outdoor seating was spacious, service quick, and menu simple and short. Some items come with a unique touch, such as the tofu pudding atop rice noodles.

Sooo delicious, the service was pretty quick and the outside eating area was quiet and quaint. Would definitely recommend the ramen bowl.

"Dude, these little pot noodles taste like China" "Wait, I heard you said Vag***s" "CHINA" (Real conversation at the restaurant) Incredible. Authentic. Exactly like what you get in China. Came here with a friend Wednesday night at 615pm during Covid. We were immediately seated outdoors. Ordered the little pot rice noodles x2 (~$14) with the spicy tofu and the spicy mouth watering chicken thighs. Total price came about ~$50 tax and tip included. You can customize the level of spiciness here, so we opted our dishes to be mild since we weren't sure how spicy it was going to be. Lets start off with the little pot rice noodles (小鍋米線). I had these in Kunming before as a street food for ~5-10 RMB per bowl (less than $2 converted). Its a concoction of spicy tomato-ey pork based broth, chili oil, rice noodles, veggies, and minced pork. These noodles were incredibly memorable, and when I tried the ones at Dian Kitchen these instantly hit me with a wave of nostalgia and authenticity. Although in Yunnan they do serve their little pot noodles in "little pots," the flavors honestly were very close to the ones I got in Yunnan. Flavorful, aromatic, pungent, spicy, delicious. So memorable. We were so impressed my friend bought another little pot noodle to take home for her roommate. Appetizers were great too. The mouth watering chicken was made with deboned chicken thighs so you didnt have the hassle to debone it yourself! The sauce was exactly how'd you envision chili oil chicken. Flavorful and aromatic. The spicy tofu also had an added pleasant surprise of sichuan peppercorns, so those were more mouth numbing if that's something you'd prefer highly recommend. Service was fantastic. Since we were dining outdoors in December, our waiters brought out two heaters just for the two of us! What I think? Its so good I think its just as authentic as what you get in China.

Sooooo good! I've loved everything that I've had here. Among my favorites: -Little Pot Rice Noodle: slightly sour (has tomatoes in the broth) and rich flavor with a lot of minced chicken that's perfectly balanced with the pickled vegetables. I'm always tempted to re-order this one. -Beef Rice Noodle: deep, meaty flavor with very tender chunks of beef. Definitely a very close second to the Little Pot -Cold Chicken Rice Noodle: it's a refreshing change from the hot soups. Chicken is moist and the sauce is so tasty. -Street Potatoes: Jesse (the owner) warned us that the crispy texture has turned off Westerners who thought they'd been served raw potatoes, but I thought the texture was pleasant and worked well with the seasoning. Really tasty but you just need to be aware... -Mouthwatering Chicken - this is a must get. The sauce is incredible and refreshing to eat alongside the heavier noodles since it's a cold dish.

I originally wanted to visit because of the yummy looking potatoes that headline on Yelp and it did not disappoint. I was a little skeptical at first, getting Asian in LES was proven wrong. We planned to go there for dinner on a Friday night but all the indoor/outdoor seating ran out. But I was determined to go back and had better luck the 2nd time around. We got the little pot, hometown street potatoes, and Kunming tender beef, all were very good. The potatoes were surprisingly fresh and slightly crispy. Medium was a good spice level for me for the soup and potatoes but I ended up adding a little more chili sauce to it so if you're into spicy I wouldn't hesitate to get spicy/extra spicy. The vibes of the waiters did it for me. You could tell they put on their personal playlist on the speakers with the workers belting out in the back. The friendly waiters and head-bopping music was the cherry on top. It thunderstormed as I walked back from dinner but the meal was so good I had 0 regrets.

Very different flavors from your typical Chinese restaurant. We got the mouthwatering chicken, spicy tofu slices, tofu rice noodle, and Kunming tender beef rice noodle. Everything was good, but the flavors are a bit heavy on the spices and oil. At times it felt overwhelming like I needed rice or something neutral to soak up the oil and spices. Overall good, but a bit too heavy for me.

The pizza was amazing, we got the deep dish Little Star and you could taste the flavors of each ingredient and the crust stayed crunchy. We sat at the bar and the service was great. We had their Hey Kool-aid drink and it was delicious.

The rice noodles were amazing, great consistency and taste. They have a wide variety of options for both GF and Veg. The beef was incredibly tender and flavorful. Nice service and take out packaging as well.
