The food is tasty! I mostly get the Baja fish taco. There's seating outside and inside, but it's on the small side inside. I've gone here several times for a bite. It's filling, pricing isn't horrible and quick service.
As a native San Diegan, I have been searching almost 20 years now for San Diego style Mexican food in NYC. I think my search is over… DORADO comes pretty darn close to the real thing!Rolled Tacos: A little denser than their SoCal/Sonoran inspiration, but spot on capturing the flavor! And I have to give them bonus points for even calling them “rolled tacos” (as opposed to taquitos), and for serving them in groups of 3 and 5. Food is excellent. I have yet to try more of their menu items because I've stopped in only during the special fish taco Wednesday deal, but there are other things I can't wait to try.I only gave 4 out of 5 stars for "Atmosphere" because naturally, it can get a little crowded at times, although with warmer weather around the corner, I might try eating outside in their street side shack.
