Met work colleagues for dinner here. The restaurant felt warm and cozy. The service was good; The food was even better. We had a different array of appetizers (tandoori chicken, vegetable samosas, chicken samosas, crispy okra, masala shrimp cocktail, and paani puri), followed by our main courses which were exceptional as well ( butter chicken, chicken biryani, string beans, chicken curry). Don't skip on dessert; the sticky toffee pudding was to die for. It was a night of full bellies and laughter. Will be definitely be coming back and adding it to my rolodex of restaurants.

Such a fun place and different than other Indian places- A little pricey for the portions but the atmosphere makes up for that

Great food, great vibes and love the owner and staff...we are fully addicted to the Butter Chicken. Also, it travels well for take out and might even taste better the next day for leftovers. Highly recommend!!!

I really wish I liked this but I've had better Indian food. It looked so nice inside but the food did not hit. Another downside was the tables were so small we could barely fit the two plates and drinks on it. Drinks were ok.

The food is very mediocre. Crispy okra is dehydrated and barely edible. Monkfish was not monkfish, but probably tilapia. Can't mistake monkfish texture for anything. Service was brisk and friendly. I personally think that Indian food can be paired with wine, despite the common belief. Deep reds, especially from Southern Hemisphere, complement spices and elevate your experience. Not a single wine to match that description! I'd rather grab a bottle of South African shiraz and eat at one of those pre-fix restaurants on Lexington.

Delicious Indian food. Atmosphere, service, food, drinks = 5 stars +++. I have been enjoying take out lately, to get my Munkey fix. Highly recommended!. Don't hesitate on take out if you can't make it there!

I have eaten at the Drunken Munkey multiple times and it has always been a great experience. The food is excellent and the ambience is fun and cozy at the same time. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

What a beautiful bar and great food! It was crowded but the bartender made space for me. The monkey theme is quite beautiful and unique.

My favorite Indian restaurant in the city. We moved about a block away and, honestly, being close to Drunken Munkey was a factor in deciding between apartments. I've only eaten at the restaurant a couple of times (service was always very solid) but get takeout at least twice a month and the food is always terrific. Highly recommended.
