We are regular customers and each time we come here, we are treated like family. Recently we celebrated my husband's 40th birthday. Our waiters and staff went over and beyond to make his day so special. Our guests were very impressed as this was many of their first time here. You should know that we are no strangers to fine dining and big-time steak lovers . .but Empire East 50th is genuinely top notch. ?
A wonderful steakhouse with a very elegant ambiance, which set the tone for the evening. We were given a nice romantic booth and from there it was just a fabulous night. Tasty and perfectly made craft cocktails followed by a bottle of great wine. The pairings worked incredibly for the Caesar salad, surf and turf (cooked to perfection) and WOW what delicious creamed spinach. Everyone was super friendly, top notch and made the entire experience one we will be waiting to go back an experience again!!

My go-to steakhouse continues to be a winner. The oysters were nice and briny. A little pricey, but that's the case everywhere. Worth every penny. Tried the grilled octopus with spinach, capers, peppers and spicy olive oil for the first time and was outstanding. My dining companion ordered the NY Strip, and it was huge! I've never seen a strip steak that large. It was delicious, and I am not a strip steak fan. I always go straight to the petite filet. Service continues to be exceptional.

We actually had a reservation at the Midtown East location but ended up at the Midtown West location by mistake. However, the manager was able to make room for us which was very nice considering it was Valentines and it was busy. We ordered off the prix fixe Valentines Day menu, which was a really good value. The food was very good. My only complaint is that the steamed broccoli didn't have much flavor, other than that, the food was delicious. To top it all off, the manager ended the night by gifting my girlfriend a rose for me. Very nice restaurant and wait staff.
The host headed to seat us when another patron said he needed to be attended to and left us waiting to be seated. The place is beautiful however I wish there was a dress code. Saggy jeans some people in pajamas aren't a good look for an upscale place. Our waiter was great he was very attentive and would check on us regularly. The food wasn't great. The steak was dry and hard. $200 per person is a good when the food is amazing but for a place where the food wasn't that great simply is a no on our end.
