The “guy” at the desk is just rude. When I ask him when the takeout will be ready, he said “you ordered dim sum, it’s gonna be ready when it’s ready.” Well, who gives you the right to treat customers like that? Will not order ever again.

We were the first ones in here at 11am. I was surprised how slow the food took. We enjoyed the food though! The service is not very charming and he forgot to put two of our orders in.

On a trip to NYC w our high schoolers on a class trip. Accommodated 30+ very well. Very spacious in back of restaurant. Nice decor yet comfortable, casual. Food was wonderful. They were very accommodating with my beef and pork allergy! Excellent authentic Chinese at a decent price.

Impressed with the dim sum selection here and quality was quite good for midtown. Dumplings came hot and well flavoured. the bok choy dish was very well made. Service was a little gruff, but then you don't come to these places for that. The restaurant was very empty for a Sunday lunch, which was just fine. A very large place, and we had a great, well lit table in the corner for our party of 5.

Today was Lunar New Year and we had made reservations to take our daughter, her fiance and his parents (who did not have a lot of experience with authentic Chinese food). We searched the internet for quite awhile trying to find an NYC restaurant that was centrally located and which served AUTHENTIC fare (not Pan-Asian, fusion, etc.). We found Evergreen and liked the photos of the restaurant and the food. Hoping for the best, we tried them out. We have celebrated Lunar New Year for ages, but have never been to a restaurant that so excelled in the food and service. The decor is beautiful; Chinese calligraphy on the walls, dark furniture and holiday decorations. We asked for a quiet round table so we could converse, knowing that it would be difficult to come by on New Years Day. The gentleman that seated us put us at a table that in a corner, away from other diners who were celebrating with kids who, naturally, could get a little boisterous. It was a perfect location. We ordered the duck, as well as dim sum , fried rice and chicken & broccoli, all to be shared. The waiter was extremely professional and friendly; he served us expertly, demonstrated the proper way to eat the duck & pancakes and explained the cultural significance of the dishes and desserts. He was very impressive and appreciated. After dinner, a woman (who I believe was the owner) gave the in-laws red envelopes, to demonstrate yet another tradition of the holiday. They were so impressed, as were we. I have never been to a restaurant that took such an interest in the customers' enjoyment. We will definitely be back when we are in the neighborhood and will certainly celebrate her for future Lunar holidays!

Vegetarian options: Food flavor was good. Pepper chicken had enough red chilli peppers to kill an entire army.Service staff was very nice, cleared the table and served food, etc.

They have real-deal Szechuan cuisine with a Chinese menu, very spicy chili sauce and Sichuan peppercorn etc. I went with several Chinese friends and they knew what to order. The spicy fish is alwayd good. The lamb was new to me. Very delicious.
