I got the italian hero and it severely lacked flavor. I feel as if they stacked the sandwhich with lettuce, tomato, and ham, to mask the skimping on the quality italian meats. I don't even know if they were that good quality. I tasted the prosciutoo and it lacked flavorand was not that salty like a good quality prosciutto should taste. I would not go back. I have been twice the first time was ok and this time was jot good at all.

The sandwiches are ginormous! The cold cuts and cheeses are sliced fresh for each sandwich. Sure they cost ~$20 but they are a foot long and really dense jam packed with filling and assuredly tasty always. They are really two sandwiches in one, (or even 3 if you have a small appetite), so it's great value. My favorite, the broccoli rabe is really something special. A perfect mix of oily garlicky, vaguely bitter and satisfyingly spicy. It really heightens the chicken cutlet fresh mozzarella broccoli rabe sandwich. Three layers of cutlets in this sandwich to boot! There is a reason this Italian specialty store has been open since 1900. You simply cannot go wrong with old school quality. Note to bring cash for payment.

Omg, cold or hot the sandwich and its size will surprise you. The guys in the shop are awesome, their memory of orders is impeccable and the sandwiches are unforgettable. :)

As a massive fan of quality Italian sandwiches and cuisine, I did all the appropriate research to find the handful of shops my wife and I wanted to try while we were on vacation and this one was at the top of my list. I told myself I would only leave 1 review on this trip and I would only do it if I ate a meal that was truly worth me taking my eyes of the Braves game a few days later. Here we are. (Braves up 1-0 on the Mets btw).My wife and I both had a Chicken parm sandwich with vodka sauce. It was THE BEST SANDWICH I’ve ever had. Nothing more needs to be said. It is the best sandwich I've ever had in my 30 years of life.If you find yourself north of the equator at anytime in your life, do yourself a favor and come get a sandwich here. Buy a plane ticket, take a bus, steal your cousins car, or hitchhike if you have to but make sure you eat a sandwich from this shop during your lifetime. It will be worth it, I promise. Also, to the gentleman at the front in the Retired NY fire department hat… thank you for making my wife and I feel right at home the moment we walked in. I will be back every single time I come to NYC. God bless.

Your quintessential New York Italian restaurant/grocery store. The sandwiches are delicious and never fail to satisfy. While expensive for a sandwich, the sandwiches are large and are enough for a second meal. The service is always quick and I'm always in and out in under 10. Go to sandwiches and I'm always willing to leave home in Brooklyn to go eat these delicious sandwiches.

Many things to note upon arriving at Faccio’s. First, this deli is famous and gets very full with tourists around lunch, so beware. Everyone who works here is kind and deserves your patience. Secondly, you may want to consider splitting your hero with a friend because the kind chefs will fill up their freshly baked heroes with a staggering amount of anything they have. Thirdly, if you like a spicy sauce (or gravy) you simply must ask for red pepper flakes. Fourthly, the prices are beyond reasonable when, and only when, considering the sheer amount of meals that one could obtain from a single hero. Fifthly, if you plan to eat any of your hero, bring a cot or sleeping bag, for you will need to take a little nap- even if you did have a military latte from Sawada right before the hero. Finally, buon appetito! ?? Get the eggplant parm and maybe a rice ball. ?

Faicco’s prepares authentic, delicious Italian comfort food in the outskirts of downtown Sarasota. Long time Family run business that still operates in Manhattan and Brooklyn that opened Sarasota a couple years ago. Many of the specialties like Fresh mozzarella and sausages are family made from scratch. As good as it gets!-fred g.

Legit authentic Italian sandwich shop. Unbelievable menu with fresh ingredients. There was some fresh prepared pasta and anti pasta salads to take home. Will definitely try those in the future. Bread was amazing-not too hard, not too soft.

Oh my gosh, the Italian special at Faicco's is to absolutely die for. Like oh my goodness I ate an entire sandwich within ten minutes. The amount of prosciutto and salami and just overall meat they give you is amazing. The service was amazing and the employees created a super welcoming store where they were eager and happy to make these sandwiches. I could honestly see the passion that they had and it just made my trip to faiccos that much more special. Being someone who's not from NYC this is hands down on of the best Italian sandwiches I have ever eat een. It is completely and absolutely worth the price. Thank you so much!
