This place is amazing. Friendly service, delicious food and nice cozy atmosphere. I got the prefixed menu for Easter. Thr lamb chops were out of this world. They have the best Tiramisu ever.

Old school, nice pasta, convenient, quick. Met a fellow named Tom who was waiting take out- he was a chef and this is his go to for pasta in the neighborhood too.

Finestra, in my opinion, is the best Italian Restaurant on the upper East Side. Simone and team are so warm and welcoming and make you feel so appreciated. The service is superb and the food is first class. We are been patrons for many years and it keeps getting better and better.

Awful! Planned a nice leisurely dinner st a restaurant we frequent when in NYC. We arrived at 6:15. By 6:45 we had finished our appetizer and had our entrees! We were sooooo rushed it was disgusting and totally unacceptable. The waitresses were pleasant but that doesn't cut it. It spoiled our visit. We walked to the restaurant and were back in the hotel by 7:30. The food was actually disappointing. Not sure if there is new management chef, etc. Being Italian we always liked this restaurant. Good-bye...we will NEVER return there and certainly tell our friends.

Wonderful winter night dinner at Finestra, a fine Northern Italian restaurant. Warm greetings. Excellent pasta fagiola and minestrone soups. Veal Francese was excellent. Grilled salmon cooked to order. Portions are large! Go with confidence!

An excellent, small neighborhood, type Italian restaurant with great food, good atmosphere(very quiet) And great service. The tiramisu was outstanding and very light compared to the normal heavy mascarpone version.
Food was outstanding. Had the lobster ravioli special. Service was excellent as well. This is the second time we have come and service and food were very consistent. Would definitely recommend and plan to go more routinely.
Great food and service. The expresso martini was great and so was the penne alla vodka with sautéed shrimp. Tiramisu is also worth a try.

Food was ok We told the server that we were sharing- she did not split the dishes The music was lovely!! Your comment shows me that you had no clue as to our experience at your restaurant. We did not ask to share the soup it was main course dishes Yes som tiny bread sized plates were put on the table But in a restaurant of your stature and the fact that it was not busy- asking us or just splitting the courses would have been appropriate and appreciated. Additionally I don't believe serving utensils were provided. I think you could take these comments and learn from them!

I ordered their “gourmet thin crust pizza” to go. I live close by so I started eating within 5 minutes of it being ready. The sauce was separated from the crust and cold to touch. I’m not convinced they didn’t (poorly) heat up a $5 Digiorno frozen pizza, call it gourmet and sell it for $25. It was actually disgusting. Really wanted to go back for like actual pasta but if this is what they call gourmet I don’t want any part of them
