Fools Gold is alway on our must do list for NYC!Very nice staff, drinks are reasonably priced and you get to play an assortment of provided board games! We have come a couple years in a row and alway have a wonderful experience!Try the Irish nachos they are awesome!

Was there just once and had a decent experience. Probably wouldn't go back though with all of the other different options around.

Always a good time! Went on a Thursday and ended up playing flip cup with new friends. Also tried their curry fries, which are the best I've tried in the city so far!

Really bad service, it seemed like we were bothering to ask for a drink. I asked for a whiskey sour, which was really bad, while my friend's drink was good. Fair prices, under $15 each, which is rare in Manhattan. Disappointed with the drink, I asked for two shots, unexpectedly extremely expensive ($11 each for tequila of dubious quality). Not commensurate with the price of the drinks, but the worst was the really rude service.Overall there was a nice college vibe, but I'm not sure if everyone was over 21 as we weren't asked for any ID upon entry and the average age seemed very low.

Good beer selection and spirits, but a middle of the road vibe

One of my favorite NYC spots. The local crowd and the staff are amazing. Very easy to get to know everybody!Food, beer, and whiskey selection is fantastic, and they’re always changing it up to keep things fresh.Highly recommend for locals and those in town visiting. There’s also different nightly events through out the week (game nights Mondays, trivia Tuesdays, etc) … I recommend the trivia night! Host does a great job.

One of the best spots for beer in the city, and a great destination bar that still feels the right amount neighborhood-y. If you’re a self-proclaimed beer snob or a first timer, Fools has dozens of really interesting choices that go way beyond the usual suspects and really elevates local breweries.Great whiskey selection and food too— Great bar if you’re a singleton that’s just passing by, it’s a fun date spot, a perfect choice to watch a game with your buddies, or if you’re planning a party— The staff will really look after you.

Pretty big area with lots of beers. Avoid the cocktails holy cow some of the worst I've ever had but why the heck are you ordering a cocktail here?

The employees are rude, racist, abusive, and pushy. They pushed, removed our drinks while we still drank, and only allowed white people to enter without IDS while people of color were harassed to show id. They were extremely rude, I emphasize this point, as their security guard and staff are extremely unprofessional and makes one wonder if they should be allowed to work with the public. They were screaming at us since the moment we entered. We will never ever ever go back nor tell people to go. What a horrible and traumatic experience. We spent a big bill, and still we were harassed. Why have a business if your employees are this bad? The bartenders were extremely good, but that was it. So sad, the food was so good, but what is the point of eating good food and people pushing you off a chair? If you don’t have a reservation, rethink it. Do better
