We lived in this neighborhood from February '99 to September '05 and this was our go-to bakery & deli. Best prices, best food and best service all in one!Two decades later and it's still the best. We stop in every time we come back to visit our old neighborhood and it's still every bit as good. You literally can't get better challah or hamantashen in Jerusalem.
This place is a nice little spot for the neighborhood. There isn't too much around like it. The owners are to the point, but friendly enough. I don't expect NYC businesses to always win the award on courtesy which they seem to get knocked on here over. The food and baked goods are fresh, many made in-house. Been here for years, recently started offering electronic pay options which I'm glad about. Had been my only major beef over the years. Great breakfast sandwiches and bagels...read full review
