Service was poor. Its like we were in the way.. an obligation out if their schedule to serve. No attention to needs we had. They were not busybat all, so that wasnt it. Maybe they were having an off day. Food was underwhelming. It was quiet though, as there were only a few tables filled.

Really enjoyed our meal - service was excellent and the food was superb. Both steaks were cooked to perfection. Would suggest that the bread be warm when served and the butter soft. Very minor issue. Overall, 5 stars.

We shared a nice steak dinner. We ordered potatoes au gratin as a side dish. When it came it was not to our liking, so we told the waiter. He very curtly replied' “well that's the way we make them”. In any other upscale restaurant they would have at least offered to provide a substitute.
We were not aware that there was two locations which should be brought to our attention when making the reservation. We ended up at the wrong location . They took our reservation at the one we intended to go to . They how ever did not contact their sister restaurant and tell them the mix up . At that point I couldn't cancel the other in my phone .

The service was exceptional. The food was just okay. We had steaks (NY strip and filet mignon), lobster mac, mashed potatoes, Caesar salad, and the bacon for an appetizer. The ambiance was nice; it was intimate and sophisticated.

Wonderful experience on a Friday evening steak was cooked perfectly but under seasoned IMHO side of creamed spinach perfect a bit stoic on second floor in regard to ambiance lower level bar much more fun waiter Sal was best I have encountered in years

We were there for Valentine's Day and this place was amazing! The food was awesome, the service was some of the best we have had anywhere! We will definitely be back the next time we are in NYC!!

Gang at music end of the bar made it difficult to hear solos by musicians. I patronise Frankie & Johnnie's for the music, not the food. Staff is courteous and helpful and pricing is Manhattan.?
