Cancelled order 40 minutes after accepting. Don't order from here unless you wanna go hungry.

We got delivery from here twice! We enjoyed the family meal ($35) which has 1/2 galina, 5 pieces entrecosto con linguica, half chicken, five piece ribs and Portuguese chorizo. The combos also come with rice and fries or roasted potatoes. Our favorites are the ribs and chorizo!! Great portion that will fill up two people and maybe even some leftovers. We will definitely order from here a third time for the delicious and well-priced Portuguese bbq!

Food is delicious! We ordered the family meal, and it was a lot of food! This is only a takeout place, there is no actual restaurant though, which I didn’t realize until I got there, but I definitely recommend it!The only thing I didn’t like were the pastéis de nata, because they were chocolate and I was expecting a traditional pastel de nata, especially since I’ve had Joey bat’s pastéis de nata before and they’re so good, but didn’t like this new chocolate version.

First a warning: This is a ghost kitchen, not a restaurant, so pickup or delivery only. Website does not make that clear. I ordered the half chicken. It's a generous serving and came with extra Piri-Piri and some Chimichuri-like green sauce. The chicken is really well flavored, although I wish it was cooked over coals like they do in more authentic Portuguese BBQ places. I opted for pickup and my order was not ready at promised time, so had to wait about 15 minutes extra.

Chicken is freshly cooked. However, the first time I received almost no sauce with my 2 chicken order.Second round of takeout, I ordered 2 chicken again, but the chickens had shrunk significantly in size; 2 chickens put together didn’t look like one whole chicken.

Pretty decent spot for Portuguese fair but I honestly, enjoyed the meats with a peri peri sauce that I had in the cupboard. Okay so Chicken is very moist, skin was flavored very very well! Honestly was great with the peri peri sauce! I wish the skin was a tad crispier but I did have it delivered so it might have impacted the crispiness by the time I received it! Ribs were flavorful for sure! Very nice with the peri peri sauce or even the chimichurri sauce, but it was a tad dry. Chorizo was great - massive portions! The sides I chose was rice and fries, the rice lacked flavor and since I ordered the moment they opened for business I did wonder if it was old rice, since it didn't seem the freshest. Ordered the Pastel de Nato - surprisingly good! This place is okay spot, not bad for fast casual, but there are definitely other ones that are better.

Since Portu Grill on the UES closed during the pandemic, I have fiended for this bird. It is so special and unique. Cooked with seasonings that are a blend of Portuguese and a bit of African spice. Galinha by Chef Becker opened recently in a ghost kitchen on Vandam meaning take out or delivery only. I walked downtown for this chicken as I was out of range for delivery. It's lovely alfresco dining weather so it was joyful. Ate: Half bird extra sauce $13 Salad with piri piri vinaigrette $6 The first bite of that juicy chicken is pure deliciousness. Adding in salsa verde, a personal favorite or brightly colored piri piri, slightly spicy is fooodgasm at it's finest! I got to try a rib courtesy of a newly made foodie friend eating outdoors with me- whoa! and the salad was suprisingly quite tasty. I mostly ate seafood in Portugal in 2018, but this chicken is a super duper treat. There were some benches down the block across from the Soho playhouse so a fine outdoor experience had by all. Obrigada.
