If you’re brown, please stay away from this establishment. If you’re white, you won’t be able to tell the difference, enjoy. Food is subpar, customer service is lackluster. Just another average Indian restaurant on the block.

This restaurant is a true gem for anyone missing the flavors of Mumbai in the bustling streets of NYC. The Vada Pav here is an absolute revelation, perfectly capturing the essence of authentic Mumbai street food. Each bite takes you on a journey through the vibrant flavors of India's culinary capital. Impeccable service and a cozy atmosphere complete the experience. Without a doubt, this is the best Indian restaurant in nyc!

We came here for dinner in March 2024 and it was great! The food was DELICIOUS and the portions were ENORMOUS. My favorite was the Amritsar appetizer and paneer main. There was no way we could have finished the daal but boy am I glad we ordered like 6 dishes because we got to try them all! The chai was also great and comes with 2 Parle-G biscuits. The service was phenomenal even for the outdoor section.

This is my favorite Indian restaurant in New York. I love the food and the service. Mamta is a fantastic server - I go to Gupshup very often and she remembers my order, always listens to my preferences and modifications and goes above and beyond to make sure I'm having a good time. The chefs are also extrenely talented, with unique recipes and consistent quality. Would 100% recommend!

Cute place, good food, I would definitely recommend the chicken biryani.
Really good Indian restaurant - good amount of experimentation/twist on Indian dishes yet still very much grounded in the essence of Indian culinary heritage. Vibe is great, service excellent and great cocktails to compliment the rich flavours. Reminds me a bit of Dishoom in UK. Great place to dine at while in NYC!!
