A very basic Japanese restaurant; the food is okay and the price is reasonable / inexpensive, but don't expect it to be very authentic.

Love this place seems to be good quality and great prices for NY. Don't live on UES but been here a few times because it's nearby my work.

Perfect miso soup 10/10. If you’re a fan of miso get the large, it’s the equivalent of 3+ bowls for $3.50 that’s insane.Sesame chicken 10/10. Chicken was soft and melted in your mouth. Breading was light and crispRice was cooked perfectly, very fluffySushi was great

Great Japanese restaurant with extremely reasonable pricing especially considering the location. $13-$15 for a bento box is almost unheard of in this area. I can finally indulge in my favorite food without going broke! This place offers a large variety of dishes, their own delivery service (which costs slightly less than third party delivery companies), and the food is excellent with generous portions. The staff are very nice and eager to please. It seems they mostly serve take-out and deliver orders as the atmosphere in the restaurant itself leaves much to be desired. They also serve dine-in meals using only plastic which was a turn off for me. Hopefully they will be able to make some improvements in the future. In regard to their delivery service, we only waited about 30-45 minutes before they were at our door and the food was hot and fresh unlike DoorDash or other delivery companies which tend to make stops along the way. Overall, I highly recommend this place. It is a hidden gem!

The Chicken Pa Thai is the best in NY! Ten times better than other places I've been. The staff is friendly. Good customer service. Clean place too.

Not sure if I got a bad batch, but this was the worst sushi i've ever had. The rice was extremely dry and the fish was not fresh at all. I didn't even finish my sushi deluxe platter.

Great price for the quality and the portion of the food. Fried chicken bento box, katsudon, and sushi were all very welk seasoned and tasteful. Would definitely recommend. Especially when craving for a quick and comforting japanese meal.

[Takeout Review]Food: 4/5 | Service: N/A | Experience: N/AGreat takeout/delivery spot for affordable sushi rolls and bento boxes! I have ordered from here a few times and enjoy their consistency as well as the great price. I would not expect super high quality compared to some of the other takeout sushi spots, but for the value this place is great. What I ordered:* eel cucumber roll* salmon bento box with california rollThings to know: * great for take out; have not eaten at the restaurant before* fairly mediocre, but great value

I crave this food often, my favorite meal is the (L7) Salmon Teriyaki (well done) with white rice salad and shu mai. I also order the shrimp tempura rolls. both meals are delicious.. I wish I had pictures to post but I could t wait to eat the food since I drove all the way from the Bronx to pick it up lol. I hope this review is helpful!

This is the worst sushi I have ever had. I never gave a one star rating but for this time, I have to. I ordered sushi for two. The fish was not fresh at all, and the brown rice tasted bland and dry, and there was a weird disgusting smell from the ginger. I forced myself to eat some because I don’t want to waste food and money. For the rest, I have thrown away. Will never come back. Low quality sushi.

Hanabi is my go to for take out and delivery sushi in the upper east side! My favorite items include the gyoza, cucumber roll and some of the many different combos they have. I really enjoy the sushi platter. Their delivery always comes quickly and very neatly packed.
