It's all about the beer here! Local and craft especially. Black and women owned. All are welcomed. Super friendly and cool. My favorite local bar where everybody wants to know your name.

Rip off. Ridiculously overpriced beers compared to similar places in NYC. Average of 9-10$ for 10oz of an "average" brew. Not to mention the stellar costs for 5 oz tasters of LOCAL imperial stouts or barley wines. I really had higher expectations...

Lovely place to stop and get a beer when in New York or in Harlem. The selection was based on local beers that were either supportive of women own breweries or LGBT focused. The bartender was very kind and super down to earth! ! We'll be returning next time we are in town.

So glad I decided to roll up above 125th street into Harlem. This will be one of my "must stops" whenever I'm in New York. The beer: About 15 on tap. I drank 6 of them. The place has a GREAT selection of craft beer. Appears to specialize in stocking a lot of smaller, but equally great brewers. I LOVE Hill Farmstead, Russian River, The Alchemist, etc. But there are a lot of smaller ones that don't get the love. The staff: SUPER knowledgeable. Told Amber, (I believe that was the bartender's name) what I was in the mood for and she gave me some great recommendations. "Lost Memories" is probably my new favourite stout. Attentive, but let me chill and drink. She knew when it was time to offer another suggestion. The vibe: Very laid back but with the right amount of hipness, without being "hipster". Harlem hip, not LES.Some good old school R&B in the background and there's a TV, so I assume you can catch a game there if one is on.Food: Don't go there famished. The food is more of the snacking variety. I had a nice braut and chips/salsa. Delicious. Served the purpose of keeping something in the stomach to at least slow down the absorption of 3 12.5 abv Imperial stouts.Best part...one can take beer away. So...I took a mixed six pack back home to sip.If you're a craft beer fan, and you're in NYC, stop by Harlem Hops. There's a location in Chelsea too.

This place is truly a NYC gem. I’ve been twice now and every time I have enjoyed the well curated beer list and the genuine, knowledgeable and kind service. There was a truly human and understandable mistake that happened with my bill last week too and they went the extra mile to make it right. Nothing better than good beer and good people. Don’t pass this spot up!
Worth going out of your way to visit, wherever you are in NYC. We were tourists, visiting the city for five days - this was the best bar we went to, hands-down, no question. Incredible beer selection, knowledgeable and friendly bartenders, great snacks, good vibes. Underrated even at five stars - take an evening, settle down and soak it in.

The best bar in New York City. Hands down. Excellent selection, kind staff. Kevin the owner puts his heart and soul into getting a great selection of beer and the draught list is always fantastic. I cannot recommend this place enough - you will not be disappointed. And get the pretzel!

Great food, love the atmosphere! The outside patio area is a great place to hang out with friends. Super friendly service too. Sometimes the noise level inside can be a tad loud.
