The food is just ok. Almost anything you try is good, but the service is really interesting. So many people that do not not what to do and how to do it. They are running around without any logic.
I visited Hav & Mar for lunch by myself one afternoon in NYC and it lived up to the hype. I absolutely loved my meal and thought everything was done expertly with a twist. The cornbread was probably the best I ever had. The tuna tartare was super tasty, but the star was the uni caesar salad. I would eat that everyday of my life. First, I love the low key atmosphere and the ambient light. I've noticed, as I've aged, that a lot of so-called popular restaurants are noisy and bright and the food is only OK. Hav and Mar is the opposite of that. It's a relaxing place with fantastic food- to the eye and the palate, excellent, professional service and great music. I hope it stays this way.
