Excellent food, all organic and no seed oils. What a delicious dream! Loved it!

What started as a very nice experience turned into an unfortunate evening. The appetizers were great. When I expressed concern of how my fish looked to the manager, she handled it very professionally and offered to get me something else. From then on, however, our waitress had a rude, unprofessional attitude and became inattentive. Parts of the fish were not edible due to a very fishy taste. She did not check on us, gave us dirty looks, and was very cold. When we were presented with the dessert menu she said it won’t be fishy…which left a bad taste in our mouths. Immediately wanted to leave, could not bear to stand another minute there. Of course she ignored us thereafter so we had to get the attention of the manager to get the check. Had no choice but to leave a low tip due to this attitude and nothing to do with the fish, as that experience was handled well by the manager.

The minute we walked in, we all felt like we were in a much better mood, not sure why, they were just so inviting even though we were a little late for our reservation. (We did call in advance to let them know we would be).Our server was simply the loveliest person, so inviting and helpful. We had someone in our party with several allergies and we went over the menu and discussed what would be acceptable to order and she even made an off menu suggestion to accommodate us.Food was just phenomenal, we had the garlic bread, the asparagus, the meatballs, the pasta ragu, a cacio e pepe pasta was made for us since our party could not have the other pasta dish with pesto, and we had the fish. Everything was delicious!Towards the end of the meal, the person with the allergy issues started feeling itchy and had to leave. We went over and over the food items, our server was clearly mortified and was likely more upset than anyone in our party. She went back over the menu with the chef and confirmed that everything we ordered was free of our known allergens. While we do not know what caused the reaction, the restaurant's handling of this situation was 1000% on point. No one in our group had any ill will towards the establishment. (You'll want to know this person went home and to sleep and is perfectly fine, still no idea what caused the reaction, though)I would absolutely return to this restaurant!

We had a wonderful late lunch, highly recommend the fava bean salad. Our server, Ciji, was a delight to talk to! We will be back.

So hard to find places that you can TRUST the ingredients and quality of the food. Everything was amazing, loved that all the meat was pasture raised, no seed oils used at all. Thanks so much

Fantastic restaurant. The service was fantastic from the moment I arrived until leaving. My server was super kind and welcoming, and impressively quick at his job. From SF but unfortunately didn’t offer a name. Food was excellent and the venue is really nice, if only a little too noisy on a Friday night to have calm conversation since it’s so packed. Mood lighting makes everything better, and the prices are good for the experience we had (by NY standards at least). Perfect for a family or date dinner. Too dark and (at least on Friday) too noisy for serious table talk. I’d definitely come back as the food offerings were so unique and well prepared.Wheelchair accessibility: 85% of the spots will be too tight to navigate by wheelchair but the tables near the door would work okay.

I worked in fine dining for ten years, and my favorite part of that work was really leaning in to the meaning of good service. The steps taken are important, of course, but I learned over time that the most crucial facet of service is more difficult to teach — it’s about how you make people feel. This means approaching each table with openness and curiosity. I hadn’t had that in NYC until Nigel served us on Friday night. It was obvious to me that he felt proud to do what he does, and as someone who dearly misses this work, I found it weirdly moving. I can’t wait to come back. Thanks again Nigel!!!

Can’t believe I hadn’t been to Hearth sooner! The food was excellent, with combinations and flavors that you wouldn’t think work when reading them on the menu but were excellent. Terrific service, great wine list and having a seat at the chef’s pass was a unique experience. While we ordered many dishes, both of the pastas were true stand outs that we will return for.

My friends and I went to Hearth for their restaurant week special, and unfortunately, did not enjoy our experience. The food was okay - nothing special or extraordinary. The waiter was mostly helpful in walking us through the menu but the staff seemed generally rude and annoyed by our party. Unfortunate experience :(
