Amazing! They have vegetarian soup dumplings - these are astonishingly hard to find. Their veggie steamed dumpling is also carrot based which was very different & tasty. I also really liked their lemon tea - high quality tea with a robust flavor. Overall, a hidden gem. I will definitely go out of my way to come back here when I'm in NYC.

Great lunch menu! The food is honestly amazing. But the vibe is super casual. The lunch menu has both lunch special and dim sum. A few items are cheaper on the lunch menu.

Delicious food, friendly service and had some unique bonus options like a soft rice roll w crispy shrimp inside.

I stopped at Hey Yuet the other night for a quick dinner before a nearby event. The restaurant was eclectically decorated with random clocks, interesting tiles, and traditional Chinese artwork. The place was known for its dim sum, but, unfortunately, my companion for the evening was not a fan of dumplings, turnip cakes, or other delights that I would have loved to share. So, instead, we each stuck to entrees, which made up less than half of the menu. I went with the Chicken and Chinese Broccoli, which also included a few carrot slices. I found the chicken slightly chewy, but the vegetables extremely fresh. The brown sauce in which the dish had been sautéed was delicious! Chunks of ginger and cloves of garlic had been cooked in as well, which really made the flavors pop. I also sampled my companion's Black Pepper Beef, which contained diced tenderloin, green and red bell peppers, onions, garlic, and ginger. The beef was much leaner and more enjoyable than the chicken, while its bold sauce was just as delicious as mine had been. We had to order white rice bowls on the side, as they were not included and the only option available (no brown rice). Overall, we were both happy with our dishes, but I would love to go back to sample various dim sum items!

First night here. Dim sum on the menu. This is the place to be. Great service and great Dim Sum! Really enjoyed the scenery as well

My sister and I dined at Hey Yuet after a comedy show thanks to all the great reviews. I was able to introduce my sister to the joy that is soup dumplings, which were phenomenal. We also tried the fried pork dumplings and the steamed char siu bao (dim sum is life) and my sister ordered beef with broccoli. Everything was incredible. The service was great and my sister (a photographer) was tickled by the camera decorations. If you're in NYC, do yourself a favor and eat here.

This place is good. I came here twice back to back just to get the rice roll with shrimp. The buns we ordered, were not for my liking, but other people seemed to enjoy it.

There were quite a few of vegetarian dumpling options. There weren't as many vegetarian entree options, wish there were more, but we enjoyed the food we ordered!

Delicious spot for lunch or dinner. I was excited to try many options from the vegetarian menu. I highly recommend the ginger Chinese broccoli and scallion rice rolls. Also… cleanest bathroom in NYC!

Didn't get to try the dim sum, but I got a satay beef chow fun and HK-style milk tea for takeout and they were really good. Both were well made and authentic. They packed the chow fun and satay beef sauce separately so the noodles didn't get soggy, which was smart. Price was reasonable and I will definitely visit them again soon.
