My favorite takeout Indian in the area! I usually go Chicken 65 for an appetizer which has (in my opinion) the perfect spicy level between flavor and spicy. For meals, you can’t go wrong with the Chicken Tikka Masala (or Vindaloo) + Garlic

I'm from Hyderabad. The best and most consistently accurate way to judge a biryani is that first whiff of how it smells. I've lived in the city for 15 years and have tried biryanis everywhere from ackson heights to curry hill. For the first time.in 15 years, I've found a biryani that is as authentic as it gets. High praise from a Hyderabadi. Live long and prosper.

Really delicious and reasonably priced Indian food in Hell's Kitchen! The restaurant is tiny with just a few tables and some counter seats against the wall. We ordered the goat biryani, the house special curry with chicken, and some garlic naan. The biryani was super fragrant and the goat was tender, and the curry was delicious as well. The dishes were mildly spicy but didn't set your mouth in fire. A really good find - would definitely love to come back and try other dishes!

Leaving this review feels like telling the world about a million dollar secret! Hyderabad Cafe is my favorite Indian food in Manhattan. It's so rich and delicious, expertly balanced, spicy, and satisfying. We've tried maybe 4 or 5 dishes all of them incredible. The chicken 65, as cliche as it is, absolutely ROCKS! My mouth is watering just thinking about it. The location itself is cozy and they staff super friendly and helpful to offer suggestions or answers to questions. I fear I would eat here every other day if I lived closer. Love it.

Food is great but I don’t get why they let these annoying loud group of girls who had finished eating just chill there for an extended period of time even though they were done ordering, we were seated on the high chairs when I would have preferred a table because those girls had stayed and were talking very loudly.

Went with high hopes but the taste just wasn’t there. The cooking on the rice is good but the hyderabadi dum biryani is severely lacking in flavor. The saunce on chicken 65 was yummy but the meat left a lot to be desired. Overall not worth the wait, and would rather take the train to NJT for authentic biryani.

This place used to be WARKOP, an Indonesian eatery selling indomie instant noodles that closed down early last year, but I have to say this is a well worth replacement because I think I finally found the best biryanis of my life… ?Had both the Hyderabadi Dum Goat biryani and the Dum Chicken biryani, both were very delicious but the goat one is significantly more fragrant! Truly couldn’t stop eating it!!Everyone talks about their Chicken Veppudu appetizer, which was indeed so great, but no one talks about the APOLLO FISH. Omg these were absolutely phenomenal, it’s similar to the 65 seasonings but even more refreshing. Will come back very soon but here’s everything I tried and really liked so far:- Gobi 65 (cauliflower)- Apollo Fish- Chicken Veppudu- Malabar Shrimp Curry (on the sweeter side, perfect with naan)- Garlic naan- Hyderabadi Goat Dum Biryani and the Chicken Dum BiryaniService was pretty fast, and it was packed on a Tuesday night. Love love love.

Made to order food with lots of flavor. There are plenty of choices for everyone. The only issue was that the restaurant is VERY small so it can be difficult to get seating.

Once I saw this place met my MUST TRY yelp criteria (5 star, $/$$, 30+ review), I knew I had to come. I orderd the HK briyani special with mango lassi and it slaps! The two sauces they provided made the dish the perfect bite. The chicken was well seasoned and juicy, with the portion size being very generous. The mango lassi was also really filling! A great consistency and just the right amount of sweetness. I would definitely come back here!
