What a treat this was! On the pricey side but well worth it. Pure Tonkatsu broth, some of the best if not the best I've tasted so far, this is not just a hype. Fun 'private' stalls bring you back to Japan.

The best Ramen noodles outside of Japan. Very Impressive and with a nice humble service from all. Recommended ?

Fantastic all-Japanese location in the middle of Times Square in New York, complete with a single seat or a maximum of two seats where the dish is served in front of you directly from the kitchen through a small window with a curtain.Definitely the best ramen tasted outside Japan, plentiful, tasty and fully satisfying even with the side dishes...Price of 64 dollars for a couple, absolutely in line with the prices of TIMES SQUARE NEWYORK and that at Madison we spent the same for 2 pulled pork sandwiches and 2 cokes.Only problem: long queues at the entrance, where you order and pay before entering the cabin, during lunch/dinner timesParking: Parking impossible due to the location and above all exorbitant costs

The famous Japanese chain! Although the price is about 4 times that of Japan, it was really excellent. There was a queue in the evening but it moved really fast. My partner had the vegetarian ramen which was excellent and I had the original ramen. All the rituals are just like in Japan and also the way of sitting. The stock of the soup was rich and full of flavor and the noodles were cooked to the right degree. The portion is really big! Note only with the spicy I put the lowest measure and it was still insanely spicy

The service is terrible. We would like to ask for a paper cup to take away our beer, but the staff refused our request and said ‘put that in your bottle’ - which we believe is very rude and unnecessary.

Food was delicious but I ordered the combo toppings and didn't realize until after I left that they never delivered them with the ramen. Double check your order.

They hang up the phone twice just trying to get a receipt for my meal.

2404 Back after seven years or so. The line is shorter nowadays. There’s a slight decline but still quite good. Maybe not worth a long wait or a special trip.I forgot I have to crack the egg myself ? maybe I’ll skip the trouble next time. But that’s some odd confidence in serving the soft boiled egg without visible quality control. The pork seems to be less tender and less seasoned than before. My only console is that it may be a bit leaner.Broth is still good. Flavorful but not too salty or overpowering. The hint of sweetness is delightful. I also like the spiciness. It’s hard to refrain from finishing the whole bowl.

I was recommended this restaurant by my driver from the Airport and I'm glad I went. I wasn't quite sure what I was going to expect. Luckily there was not a queue when we arrived at 5pm. Order on the tablet and the menu is pretty much their signature Tonkatsu Chashu Ramen and not much else. We waited in line after ordering and was then led to counter seating which they opened up for the 4 of us, so we could see each other. Otherwise, it's like individual booths like Japan. The Ramen, as good as Japan!

This place is a must for me every time I’m in New York, if you love ramen and you’ve never been to Japan this is as close as you’ll get to trying the REAL ramen!! Really worth it

Pricey, but the quality of the broth and overall ramen experience is certainly worth a stop.Ichiran’s unique features include its individual booths which means interaction between other dinners and the kitchen staff is quite limited. Making it ideal for solo diners and not ideal for couples and especially not groups of more than 2 people.Ichiran operates off a tip-free model which I believe is how restaurants operate in Japan. That’s not to say it’s cheap however. The basic ramen bowl will cost you almost $25, and over $30 if you want all the add-ins.There are two locations across Manhattan but I would expect there to be a line at both during popular dining times. I personally waited about 10 minutes to get seated on a Saturday afternoon. The service was somewhat slow and waited about 10-15 minutes after sitting to be served my food. This is likely given the volume of customers, but still, considering they only serve ramen and the soup is already prepared, I’m not sure what would causing the hold up.
