It was a chilly night so all the tables outside were empty. Inside we sat adjacent to the atrium, a light and plant-filled space. The wait staff worked very well together, not a pause in the service. The food was good, portions large. I had the weekend ragu, liked the tomato gravy, not too sweet. My husband had veal parmigiana , two large cutlets and a big pile of al dente penne. We started with the ceasar salad, a creamy, garlicky dresssing. Overall we enjoyed everything.

Had an excellent dinner there yesterday. Portions were generous, price was reasonable and the food was excellent. If you're there on a Saturday or Sunday, get the Ragu de Macelliao. Also got a really excellent seafood pasta. Cocktails were also solid. Really, really good spot.

The best meal we had while tourists in NYC. The service was excellent, the wine list was extensive and food delicious. It's not a cheap night out, but the whole package is definitely worth the splurge. Despite being in the tourist area of Little Italy it was authentic.

Just wanted to give a big shout out to IL Cortile. I threw a birthday party there in the upstairs cocktail lounge and Manny and the staff went above and beyond. The food, as usual, was awesome and the service was excellent. They even helped me decorate the space!!! Highly recommended for dinner and/or an event. Well Done IL Cortile!!!

Excessive quality/price ratio. A bottle of water 9.5 dollars. Quite normal food, in addition to inflating the price by 20%, when we said that we did not want to leave so much tip, on top of that they became defensive, forcing us to leave said 20%.

Have not been there in years, but still great food. Frank, our waiter was awesome. Food was incredible. Only downside is they will not deviate at all from the menu. My wife has a gluten allergy and just wanted a very slight variation to her pasta meal. Not a chance, you'll upset the chef. C'mon chef. Bend a little. Otherwise, everything else was very good.

Disappointed in the food quality. The restaurant had a cool vibe to it. I had the Ragu and it was nothing special. My wife had the eggplant Parm and it was OK. Overall I was not impressed. Seems more like a tourist spot than a legit, quality Italian restaurant.

We really enjoyed our dinner here while visiting from out of state. Our server was warm and friendly (and told us how to ride the subway back to our hotel), our margaritas stiff, and the crab linguini special was out of this world. The decor is really fun and the patio is charming.

Prompt service and friendly staff. Our family ate a variety of dinner dishes - some veggie, some pasta, some meat. Daughter said it was one of the best steaks she has ever eaten and she's a picky eater. We enjoyed eating in the front section of restaurant but atrium/garden area looked inviting as well.
