Istanbul Bay Express offers a fairly average doner kebab experience in the heart of the city. The prices are reasonable and won't break the bank, which is one of the few perks here. However, the portion sizes left something to be desired, as they were notably smaller than expected, which might be disappointing for those with a hearty appetite.The major downside was the quality of oil used in cooking, which was less than ideal. Unfortunately, it led to an upset stomach and subsequent heartburn, which was quite uncomfortable. This is something the management might want to look into for improving customer experience.The seating area is limited, making it hard to find a spot during peak hours. This place seems more suited for takeaways rather than a sit-down meal. Overall, if you're in a rush and need a quick bite without high expectations, this could work, but there's definitely room for improvement.

Good honest food at an honest price. A little gem if you want good food for a reasonable price. We just wanted kebabs, pita or wraps, and had check out a few places near by. Their prices were ridiculous, charging twice as much as Istanbul Bay. We had just about given up when we saw this place. So glad we found it. Are there two nights in a row. It’s a busy little place but they make it all fresh for you, the service is good, the food is great, and you don’t need to re-mortgage to eat here, unlike a lot of Manhattan eateries.

We walked in and said hello. The guy just looked at us. After a while of looking up at the menu and saying hello again, he walked over to the register to take our order. As we asked questions about the menu, he went back to making other orders on the counter. The food was not that good. The meat did not taste very good. Not very many veggies inside the wrap. We had a stomachache after eating it. We ended up going to another place literally across the street from there.
