Needed to quickly feed my kid - he wanted to Mac and Cheese. It wasn't so bad at $9 - freshly made/baked. Took awhile to make it but we waited patiently. It was so nice, cheesy and gooey. Pure indulgence!

I was introduced to Jacob's Pickles recently when meeting a friend at the Moynihan Trail Hall. He insisted on finding food as soon as he arrived from Washington, D.C., refusing to venture outside the building. So, we headed to the food court and stumbled upon Jacob's Pickles. The enticing aroma from the kitchen beckoned us, especially with its unique southern-inspired menu, which particularly resonated with me being from the south. I opted for the barbecue chicken-loaded fries as a starter, which turned out to be a substantial meal in itself. The portion size was exceptionally generous, prompting me to take some home. It's rare to find such generous portions in New York City without breaking the bank. Additionally, I indulged in biscuits and gravy and mac-and-cheese with two friends. I recommend treating these dishes as a family-style dining experience due to their size. Although Jacob's Pickles in the train hall lacks a dedicated dining area, the hall provides a pleasant space to enjoy your meal, provided it's not too crowded. While the food was served in a reasonable amount of time, it did take a bit longer for the barbecue chicken-loaded fries. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Jacob's Pickles and look forward to returning when my friend visits again and inevitably demands immediate dining. It's safe to say where we'll be dining next time!

Since I work right next to Moynihan, I'm very familiar with all the train hall dining options, and I would say Jacob's Pickles is the best! Huge portions which is hard to find in NYC - I always have leftovers or enough to share with another person. Their fries are good, but I think they really do a great job with their biscuits and chicken. I'm from NC so I would say I'm picky about these things, and I can't recommend enough their sausage & gravy chicken and biscuit. Everything is flavored well, the quality has always been consistent, and it's such a comforting dish. Sometimes there can be quite a wait especially during lunch rush, but you can also order ahead to make your life easier. It's a busy dining hall but usually you can find a spot if you just wander a bit.

The popcorn soft serve is actually so good. I thought at first it was going to taste like pure butter, they’re is actually a nice balance of butter, salt, and a flavor that can only be described as butterscotch I suppose. They also stack this ice cream super high, so for the price you really get your money’s worth. I also got the bag of biscuits. They were buttery and tasted really homemade. I honestly ate the whole bag in a day because they were so good. The butter they came with was also really good. I can’t wait to come back here so I can try more!

Different and delicious! I stopped here for dinner before catching my train, and the Fried Chicken Caesar Salad sounded interesting. I seldom eat fried foods but decided to make an exception. The wait wasn't long, and I was pleasantly surprised to see not only strips of buttermilk coated chicken atop the salad but also cornbread! The salad was delicious and quite large, so I barely put a dent in it, but I'm looking forward to the leftovers. I'm glad I gave it a try!

They have such large portions and I'm not complaining! The food is enough for 2 people. Picked up my order very quickly. It's located in the new Moynihan train station so there are plenty of seating.

If you're craving satisfying comfort food while at Moynihan Train Hall check out Jacob's Pickles in the Food Court. I chose Jacob's on consecutive visits to the City this month and both times I was not disappointed. Each time, the service was friendly and the food fantastic. I even picked up a quart of their hot sour pickles to bring home. There is really good value here as well.

I had a bacon, egg and cheese biscuit here and it was good. The biscuit was a bit too sweet for my liking, but overall I liked it. There are not too many places to seat, but the atmosphere was lovely.

LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!! We got the fried chicken with gravy and Mac and cheese. I think the Mac was only $6 or something???? Huge and great quality. Was in LOVEEEE. Met the owner Jacob. He was so so so so so so so sweet. Loved talking with him. Amazing person and love what the business is about. Atmosphere is very crazy and hectic in Moynihan train hall. Cool when commuting long haul but for a daily bite it's too much!!! No seatshaha just sit outside by the Whole Foods during the winter when you exit upstairs after the escalator. That's my pro tip!
