Fantastic Thai food. Been going to them from Michigan for over 30 years (starting at the original place in Queens). Kids finally experienced the place and said: the hype is real!

It's pretty much permanently closed. If they reopen it will be a miracle. Been closed a long time now.

Food is pretty good, but the murray hill location is more comfortable. Experience with service was not good/rude but might be specific to our server.

One of my fave places to eat in NYC. And my top recommendation for Thai (apart from Thailand, of course). Terrific food and service. Get the MILD as anything more will be too hot. And I say that as someone who loves spicy food. You can always add spicy sauce if needed. I try to eat here 2-3 times a year.

Ordered takeout - crispy vegetable rolls and pad thai. Order was ready way ahead of schedule. The rolls didn't retain the crisp after a day, but were still good. The pad thai is amazing! I'd asked for medium spicy level but was still struggling. Good quantity, and very delicious.

We love Jaiya and were frequent diners prior to Covid. The restaurant was extremely empty. We were seated and served immediately! Zul was our server and she was so pleasant and kind. Food came fast and was really good. You can alter the spice level to your taste too. My only critique would be that the Lemongrass Fling drink was too sweet with too much syrup and no alcohol. We'll be returning soon!

Excellent quality Thai food and my personal favourite on the UES. Consistent, good portion size, and one of the few Thai restaurants I trust to accommodate a dietary request for strictly vegetarian/vegan dishes.

This place is my preferred one. I eat in a lot of restaurants but to this restaurant I constantly return again and again. The crew is very warm and the cuisine they serve is so flavorful. I am always happy to have a good meal in this restaurant. I recommend this place with pleasure.

WORST customer service from the manager who worked today. Never had such bad experience. I been ordering from this restaurant for many years and the way my phone call was handle tonight, was Unacceptable. Never ordering from them again. Bye Jaiya

Increased prices due to covid and now they have reduced the quantity. You buy a 43 dollar entree but rice is charged extra!!! Oh come on.. I would not go there again.

Just placed an order earlier today via Seamless for Jaiya 3rd Avenue . I received a call about 20 mins from the restaurant asking me if I received my order yet which I found odd because the Seamless driver was showing at the restaurant picking up my order on the app. When I tell him no the seamless person is there now for pick up, he tells oh ok and hangs up. About 10 mins later when I check the app, it now says my order has been cancelled. I call the restaurant and the same gentlemen tells me "oh that's why I called you I think someone else took your order but it was from seamless".Now at this point I'm not upset yet I'm thinking ok just some confusion, maybe they assigned it to two drivers by mistake. So I contact Seamless and they are willing to give me the credit for the meal if I place a new order.... I go to place the order and the restaurant is not taking any more delivery orders. I call and tell them "hey I'm the girl who's food you gave to the wrong person can you guys make an exception and open your delivery window for me?" He wouldn't even budge and then proceeded to back track that he never said he gave my order to the wrong person and that he was not sending me anything. Now mind you I stop by or place a seamless order from this restaurant pretty frequently as I manage a surgery center nearby and yet even though they messed up the entire thing he wouldn't budge and then proceeded to lie and was extremely rude. Told me he did not care if I left a negative review and that right now he's in charge and refused to put me on the phone with anyone else. I will NEVER again be ordering or stepping foot in Jaiya again.

I have been to Jaiya a few times over the years. The food here is good but the portion sizes are pretty small compared to many other Thai restaurants around the city. Not only are the portions small but the prices are substantially higher. One thing that really turned me off from this place is that they actually charge you for white rice - it doesn't come with your entree. Granted it doesn't break the bank to pay an extra $2-$3 for rice but it's silly given most Thai places do not. With so many great and reasonably priced Thai spots around the city, I am not sure I will be back here any time soon.

Been eating at this Restaurant for over 20 years. Started in elmhurst, then to Long Island, then to NYC. You must try the fish with chili sauce, mild to medium spicy. It's amaZing and we have been ordering it for over 20 years now. Over rice, it's like heaven! I cannot recommend this place enough!
