The place claims to have Indian food items. When I called, the person answering the phone told me that they have Indian spices, daals, snacks, fresh produce and frozen food etc. However, when we visited the store we found that it had just a few items in each category and even those were over priced. The store was neat and clean, and the staff was very helpful and pleasant. They didn’t claim that they were a full fledged Indian grocery store but they also didn’t tell me over the phone that they had only a few items. We do not live in New York and were visiting a family member. My husband and I walked for 25 minutes to get there and were a bit disappointed as I was planning to cook a full meal for some guest but could find only a few items. I guess I should be happy with glass being half full…at least we found a few items. I expect to pay a bit more in New York but considering that their main customers for Indian food are Columbia Univ Students, they could have more fair price. Perhaps, the partial blame lies with me as I got excited to find an Indian grocery store within walking distance but felt that they were not fully transparent over the phone. They didn’t lie but didn’t tell the truth either. What is 6 for me might be a 9 from their perspective and I am fully aware that they might not agree with my opinion but my visit did not match the impression I got from the phone call.

They do not classify themselves as a convenience/grocery store on Doordash, which means they cannot tell the app that some items are missing from the order. Every single time there are items missing from the order and they do not refund it. The customer has to chat with support and explain the situation every single time to get a refund and sometimes that doesn't happen either. They are literally stealing from people ordering online. Horrible experience each time.

Trying to steal your money with overpriced items, charging extra tips on cards and not refunding money for missing items. $140 for ten items. Lmfao. Jaleby hi bana rahe hain.
