I used to love Jane's! Operative words "used to." Today was my first visit to Jane's since before the pandemic. The food isn't as good as it once was. I sat at the bar and ordered Jane's Benedict with rosemary fries and a glass of Cava. The eggs were poached nicely, the crab cake was just okay, the buttermilk biscuit was very dense and dry, and the dish was drizzled with a scant amount of hollandaise sauce. Disappointing. Fortunately, the service was good, the rosemary fries were seasoned and hot, and the Cava was delightfully chilled and bubbly. The rest of the meal? Meh.

First. I want to say "Thank You" for being a neighborhood destination for many decades. I know if I wanted a great brunch, this was the place to go. But I was disappointed with one of the dessert. It mentions a key lime "pie", but when it arrived, it was not a pie at all. It was like a key lime mousse in a small ramekin. I was really looking forward to a traditional graham cracker pie crust. Texture was a bit too loose. You should change the description to a Deconstructed key lime mousse. Especially for $12, it makes it sounds more modern. But I will say that your sausage and avocado scramble was delicious, and the waiter serving us was the best cool dude. He made our day special. I loved the happy 80s music. I'll be back, but will skip the dessert.

It's been a while since my last visit to this establishment and it was just as good as my last visit. My friend who doesn't like to try new restaurant liked it and said that she would definitely come back again is a testament. We had Stone, a fairly new waiter, he was was great.

Located on a main street in West Village, Jane Restaurant offers a welcoming updated atmosphere and satisfying cuisine. The staff was friendly. We started with the seafood Mac and Cheese, a delicious appetizer!!! For dinner, we all enjoyed the Jane Burger with fries, which was flavorful and cooked perfectly. Overall, Jane Restaurant provided good food and friendly service making it a perfect choice for a casual meal in the West Village.

We walked in on busy Saturday & had room on the bar. (No reservation). I really like the vibe actually, lotta Beyoncé songs in background surprised me a little ? Got the French toast & dang it was delicious. Also got the kale and beet salad and it was great. The bar girl was nice. I’ll probably be back for the French toast .

Gorgeous food, they’ve really thought about everything having just the right amount of flavour. Plenty of options for someone who is dairy free like myself rather than everything being covered in cheese. Our server was so friendly and helpful and started our holiday in NYC perfectly!
