This was the 1st time dining here. Flew up from San Antonio Texas to celebrate my 61st birthday and see the musical Moulin Rouge. Staff was friendly and fast and fun. This place is very popular, recommend doing reservations which I did. The food and my birthday cake was fantastic and our waiter even placed a lite candle on the hot fudge/ice cream cake. You can't go wrong with this type of service. Will be back of course. Thanks again everyone

I went one year ago and forgot to leave a review. This was the best steak I ate in NYC, I’m from Brazil and my standards for steak are very high so I don’t eat it everywhere — I’m glad I tried it there!!! It was absolutely amazing. I’m going to NYC again next week and this is the first place I want to have dinner at!

I had not been here in several years, but it was just as wonderful as I remembered. Coffee: strong. Martini: also strong. Food: delicious. The best part of our time was our lovely waiter, Patrick. Attentive but not overbearing, Patrick was so friendly and charming that I could have talked to him for hours! Such a delight on top of a wonderful meal.

The service was excellect. Devon was very personable and very attentive. The rest of the staff seemed excellent as well. The food came out fast, hot and without sacrificing quality. They will get you to your b'way show on time.

The highlight of this restaurant is definitely the service. It's excellent, they are always checking on you to see if you need anything so you'll never be lacking. The staff is very personable and kind as well. The food came out within MINUTES of ordering, too. It's the fastest I've ever received my food from a restaurant before, and the quality of the food was still so great. I got a cheeseburger and fries and it was perfectly done and tasted amazing. It's a great place if you want to get a quick and quality meal before seeing a broadway show! They get you there on time for sure.
The interior is fascinating with all the historic posters. I wish the food was as interesting as the posters. I don't even know how some food is so flavorless and some is so overly salted. The service is good and friendly. With so many great restaurants in New York I would look forward to trying other places for future Broadway shows.

Joe Allen is my go to place when visiting New York. I had pre-theater dinner with two family members and it was a wonderful experience. We were seated right away and given plenty of time to study the menu. Everything we ordered was delicious and plentiful. Wait staff was attentive without being intrusive. We took our time, enjoyed our meal and we're encouraged to say as long as we liked. It's nice to visit a restaurant still follows the traditions - delicious food and outstanding customer service in a comfortable environment.
