Stumbled into Kati Thai because O'Hanlon's pub was full to watch an Arsenal soccer game. Kati Thai had the game on, and welcomed any overflow. The service was great. The food was fresh and flavorful!
One of my friends brought me here for a lil' early birthday celebration and it did not disappoint. Whenever I enter a Thai place, my immediate reaction is just to order the pad thai, but i'm really glad I didn't this time. My friend recommended the peanut dumplings, the khao soi, and the shrimp pad see ew, and ofc we got everything! My favorite was probably the khao soi and peanut dumplings. This is actually my first time trying khao soi and I'm glad it was at Kati Thai. It was super creamy, and the crispy noodles mixed with the soft noodles added another texture profile that I really enjoyed. Since we opted for the lunch special for the pad see ew it came with a side of spring rolls as well which were just ok in my opnion. The service was great and the staff was super friendly. At the end of our meal, the owner surprised my friend and I with complimentary cookies which were pictured below and honestly everything that's free tastes 10x better!

How unfortunate that the business owner Bdin tried to rectify a mistake that his staff made, by telling me to come back to his restaurant to get the order they forgot to give me. When I requested a refund, he argued that he could not issue me a partial refund. Why not just issue a full refund for the appetizer your staff (Monica) did not include in my order? Any business that accepts credit cards is fully capable of issuing a refund. He just tried to give me a story to avoid having to lose $6. I also told him that his staff also told me (after I gave them my address in Union Square) that my location is too far. His response was that the employee "didn't know." Hmm, your website clearly states that you deliver to Union Square. What kind of business owner defends his staff when they clearly made a mistake and then puts the ownness on the customer? On top of this, he complained about me being upset because he has medical illness. The bottom line is that you could have offered a simple solution: refund me the cost of the order your staff forgot to give me. Sadly, now the cost to your business is the loss of a disappointed customer, and my work colleagues with whom I've shared this terrible experience.

3.5 rounded up to a 4. First of all, the Thai iced tea is addictive and incredible. The curry puffs are as good as they are expensive, light, flaky, with a tasty dipping sauce. My massamun curry was good, dislikes the fact that they use baby carrots. Not my fave massamun curry but not bad, the meat could have been more tender and fresh. Service was okay, had to flag them down a bit more than I would like. Overall great spot!

Ordered here today for the first time. Will order again. Food was good and a couple bucks cheaper than the place that is a few blocks closer to my apartment.
