I’ve had this place on my list for a while now. I loved trying the kebabs and sharab/drinks (virgin for me!). I loved the colonial-era decor with peacocks and carved wood. The appetizer portion sizes could be improved and the bathrooms could’ve been better too but nothing too bad. The food was really good! Here’s what we had:▪️Dahi ke Kebab (yogurt) 9/10▪️Sardarji Machi (Old Delhi fish) 9/10▪️Doori Kebab with Sheermal (goat) 10/10▪️Paneer Shashlik (cheese skewers) 6/10▪️Old Delhi Korma (mutton) 8/10▪️Bangin’ Baingan (eggplant) 7/10▪️Palak Paneer (spinach and cheese) 5/10?Chai raisin cake with rasmalai milk and chai ice cream 6/10?Mango Chutney (mango, pomegranate) 8/10ps> they’re halal and even brought out dates for the whole restaurant for iftaar!? 100% Halal! However, they do have alcohol on the premises (hence the name). Resy’s site would not load to update reservation. Luckily the front lady was able to accommodate us, so awesome customer service! For appetizers we had the Aloo tikki chaat and paneer shashlik. The Aloo tikki was okay but the paneer shashlik was delicious & spicy. For the entree’s we had the Old Delhi Korma, Famous Butter Chicken, paired with Plain and Garlic naan, Malabar Bone Marrow Pulao, Chicken Biryani, paired with Classic Raita. I have to say the food was mediocre, nothing really struck out besides the plain naan. For dessert we had the chai cake which was good. They don’t serve chai. For drinks we had the mocktail mango chutney and a some recommendations but it was too sour. The aroma of the place is setup beautifully, customer service is great, clean bathrooms as well. I do recommend visiting the place if you’re in the area.

Disgusting. I live on the block and before they blocked out the windows we could see the mice most evenings scurrying across the ground and sometimes even the tables and plates they set out.

My recent experience at Kebab Aur Sherab was incredibly disappointing, especially considering we were there celebrating a special occasion. Despite our hopes for a memorable evening, our expectations were significantly let down. Not only were we seated away from the requested “Peacock Room,” but the service was also incredibly slow and indifferent. We felt ignored, with the servers seeming to prioritize other tables, particularly couples seated next to us. While normally this wouldn’t bother us, it certainly put a damper on our evening. To add to the disappointment, the food was subpar. The chicken was dry and lacked flavor, and the sauces failed to enhance the meal. Additionally, the outdated decor and cramped seating in the front section of the restaurant further detracted from the overall dining experience. In conclusion, Kebab Aur Sherab failed to meet our expectations on every level. If you’re looking for a worthwhile upscale dining experience, I would not recommend this restaurant.

A bit pricey but worth it considering how flavorful each dish is. There aren’t many restaurants in the city that have the authentic flavors you’re looking for, Kebab aur Sharab does not disappoint! I highly recommend, looking forward to going back and trying more. Service was great, everyone was accommodating. I enjoyed every dish we ordered, and the drinks were some of the best Indian inspired drinks I’ve had. There is something for everyone. The music and interior fully set the mood for a perfect meal with people you love. Felt like I was in Punjab enjoying the best.

I wish I had better things to say - but this was a one and done experience for us especially trekking all the way to the Upper West. There are other high-end Indian restaurants in the city you can enjoy your time at all over the city. Food was decent but overpriced. Service was outstanding.A tip of advice for the management at K&S: make the back section of your restaurant for private dining for groups of 10+ only, especially if you know you’ll have rowdy birthday crowds. There were people vaping inside the restaurant. Not exactly the “high-end” experience if you ask me- and especially if you wish you justify your ambience and

Gave my friend food poisoning and when we tried to call, they hung up on us twice after pretending to put us on hold. Lack of accountability and horrible customer service.

Delicious food and very friendly service. We also enjoyed the cocktails. We loved Lamb Chops and stuffed hot peppers as appetizers. Our main dishes were Kerala Fish and butter Chicken and Korma which were outstanding

This was a hard one to rate. I wish there was a separate rating for value. The service here was great, and the flavor of the food was quite good; but not enough to justify the cost. We ordered the fish curry ($36), butter chicken ($30), bone marrow ($39), and garlic naan ($8). Neither the fish curry nor the butter chicken came with rice, which was a shock, given the cost of these dishes. While most of the food was well prepared, the fish in the curry was actually quite overcooked, and the fish itself would not have been enough for a full meal, which made the fact that this dish did NOT come with rice all the more baffling. The butter chicken would have been worth the $30 if it also came with rice. Would consider dining here again if the prices were either 20% lower, or also covered the tip at the current prices. But this is not a place that I could see people coming to regularly, unless you made enough that money was not an issue. Bottom line: the flavors are good; but the price is prohibitive.

I was excited to try this place, seen a reel on IG and it looked beautiful. I made reservations and when I arrived the hostess seated my friends and I (3 girls) at the front added porch by the entrance when I asked if there was any room inside the restaurant. She had a slight attitude and said no. Overall the experience was good however, at the end when we got the check they charged $40 for 2 glasses of wine (Pinot Grigio) that's a bit steep. The cocktails with hard liquor were cheaper, go figure. When asked the waitress where does it say on the menu the a reply was it is not on the menu and it comparable to Pinot Noir, I mentioned if something is not on a menu they should mention it before hand to the client especially the price per glass and give the choice to the customer. They did take off $2 but for a fine restaurant as that I feel they could have done a bit more to please the customer, unfortunately they didn't. For that reason I give the 3 star rating.P.S. We traveled from Brooklyn by train to try this place on Upper West Side.

The best kebabs in the US so far! I had the Goat Doori kebab sheermal and it melted in the mouth with so many flavors. Its a must eat here. The Andhra Chilli Chicken is really hot and spicy. Do mention spice level for chilli chicken if not you will experience the spice level like never before. I loved the saffron pancakes with the dry ice on it with beautiful presetation. The sweet potato chat was good too. Overall Super tasty food items on the menu. I would defintiely try others next time.
