I ordered the sea salt caramel and very vanillaFirst look wasn’t appealing both didn’t look as advertised the sea salt caramel toppings appeared spoiled and the very vanilla and something brown on it i broke the cupcake in half the both seem overly moist way to moist for me soggy I didn’t taste neither and they came packed in the same container

First of all, the cupcakes look NOTHING like what's advertised. I orderd lemon and vanilla cupcakes. The vanilla icing was weirdly “runny”. The lemon wasn’t even icing it was like a lemon curd or something. I tasted a little of the vanilla icing and it's flavor was more like oil than butter. I just put them in the garbage. They were also packed together in a container that was too small.

All of the brother were on the wall in this place. Displays of black actors and actresses adorn the walls. I smelled diabetes as soon as I walked through the door. I am joking ? but the established aroma was billowing out until the street and invites you into the door. Letting you know Everything was fresh. I had carrot cake and pound cake. My sister who is Vegan had cup cakes. My slices are so big they will last me for the next 7 days.
I love this woman owned business. They offer vegan options. The last time I went, I got a small cake the edges was a little burnt that’s why I gave it 4 stars. Otherwise, it was tasty, service was great, music was culturally appropriate and I love the ambiance (nice business mural). Great place for special occasion cakes, slices or cup cakes!

It’s extremely hard to find southern red velvet the way it’s supposed to taste and very few bakeries in the city and boroughs are black owned and doing it the right way. This is a rare gem. They use cream cheese icing and not buttercream, thank God! One of the most moist cake recipes all around. She’s also employing young people in the neighborhood!! Of the few critiques, it generally comes from those seeking master cake decorator items. What you will get is phenomenal taste and down home presentation. It taste like home. Had a sweet craving and found this bakery online. I'm so glad that I did! The woman at the counter was super helpful. We overordered because we couldn't pick! The pound cake and the Cinnamon Roll were incredible. INCREDIBLE. I'm so excited to go back.
