I’ve gone there, many times for pastries and sandwiches, and those are always quite good. But last night I went there with a group for dinner, and the food was mediocre at best, and the service was incredibly slow. Never again for dinner.

Everything was exceptional, when there's brunch (weekends and holidays) there's French onion soup for breakfast, the best I have ever had. Pancake, easily the best ever. Mushroom Omelette delectable. I tried a pastry, didn't have any strong feelings about that.

Worst service ever. Today 03/31/24 at 5pm the two servers behind the counter gave their best bad attitude !!! Good at throwing dirty looks when told they got my order wrong. Owner take note these two are bad news!

Really enjoyed this place. The service was great. I loved getting to enjoy a meal on their patio. And the pastries were amazing!
Optically it looks like a bakery but it holds a wonderful not so secret secret: this is a fine establishment for diners who want a quiet delicious and savory meal on a rainy day (such was our situation) and it's one you could bask in alone or romantically so with another. I enjoyed the Cajun chicken that was wonderfully spiced, perfectly cooked. I could easily argue they make some of the best French fries I have had in some time. My wife enjoyed the trout almondine and it was remarkably quiet on her side of the table which tells me all was well on her plate as well. We shared a Napoleon dessert from the bakery and thankfully only ordered one because it served two easily. All this aside, excellent attentive service and a warm cafe vibe that gave it a neighborhood feel.

Last night's dinner was perfection. The kale salad with roasted beets & ricotta cheese was beyond delicious. The entrée - salmon with asparagus was prepared exactly to my preference. The dessert which I look forward to - a coffee eclair - could be an award winner. Portions were generous. Service was excellent. Our server was well informed about ingredients & very helpful . And the Pinot Noir glass of wine is my new favorite.
The food strikes me as quite overpriced and you don’t get so much for what you’re paying for. I paid $17 for a salad that was Romain and kale and a few grapes and with cappuccino and tip, it came to $30. The interior is pretty dark and cramped so you feel like the table next to you is right on top of you. And when I arrived, it wasn’t clear to me that there’s a seat yourself café area in the front but a table service area in the back and so they gave me a hard time when I brought the cappuccino I ordered from the counter to a table service area, where I intended to order more. Just a confusing setup. I understand that it’s costly to run a restaurant, but I still feel their prices are higher than other comparable places. And the menu is full of meat and offers little for a vegetarian and just one item, the salad, for a vegan.

Our first time at this charming place. We were there first lunch and had the risotto (very good) and the cavatelli with short rib (delicious). We had a half bottle of champagne. We finished our meal with two of the chocolate desserts recommended by our lovely waitperson. Both were excellent. Coffee and cappuccino completed our meal. We will definitely be back.
