It was an extraordinary evening. The food was fantastic and the service was perfect. Adrianna (the hostess) and Adrianna (our waitress) could not have been more attentive and generous. Will come back very soon!

Love this place. I had a delicious tortilla española and shrimp last night…friendly staff, clean establishment and I have experienced their flamenco shows on many occasions which are always impressive with passionate performers - the dancers, singers, guitarists- you are all wonderful .. glad to be able to be a part of the artistic, moving flamenco. Lovely night out in the city always !

This is at least my 10th time here. Tried the chicken in wine with mushrooms and roasted potatoes. Delicious. Also had sauvingon blanc which was also great.

We came to La Nacional for a dinner on a Thursday evening. The spot was packed and there was definitely a homey vibe. The menu featured tapas and paellas. We ordered the cold cuts, potatoes, calamari, a pitcher of white sangria, and a medium seafood paella. I thought the seafood paella was lacking flavor but everything else was super yummy. The food also came out super quickly which was great.

The food is fresh and seasoned well. The portions are generous. The atmosphere is casual. Very affordable for the quality of food. We enjoyed the sangria with beautiful fresh fruit.

The tapas were great; one main dish (the cod) was lukewarm. Appetizers were served before the wine we ordered was served. The service was friendly as usual, but the cold cod dish was a disappointment.

I would say for a 2nd time Visit here i was not that empress i am expecting that the paella would be very good like the first time i visited maybe 5yrs ago. The staff is very kind and helpful they even give us a choice were we want to seat, the gambas appetizer is good and the cheese platter with prosciutto, and other cold cuts is good except some of the chorizo is a little hard to chew. We were just a little disappointed with the paella it's not tasty and taste like something missing spices or seasoning its very bland and the chicken in paella there has some after taste like its not fresh so we just put aside ( fyi we ordered paella seafood only but when it arrives in our table with a chicken we didn't complain anymore cause we don't want to wait again for another 30 mins for them to replace it.) the best part is the Churros dessert, I must say you shouldn't skip for that. Overall we must try again next time hopefully the paella would be better. And one more thing the place is cozy perfect for a date, group or family

I’ve loved La Nacional for many years now and bummed it’s taking me this long to write a review! La Nacional is the perfect any-occasion place for great tapas — the best paella ? in the city — and sangria that hits every time. There’s not too many places I love in nyc more than this restaurant!

Celebrating my birthday at La Nacional was an absolute delight! My friend and I indulged in a variety of dishes including potatas bravas, croquettes, gambas, lobster rice, and lava chocolate with fresh cranberry. Everything was simply amazing, but the crispy potatoes, creamy croquettes, and flavorful lobster rice stood out as highlights. The dessert, rich dark chocolate with fresh cranberry, was another standout with the addition of a scoop of vanilla ice cream. There was truly no way to go wrong with this delectable combination! Great hot sangria as well!I highly recommend La Nacional for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience filled with delicious food and great ambiance. The atmosphere was vibrant with many Spanish-speaking customers, creating lovely chatting vibes accompanied by passionate music.

Adriana the waitress is the best & Alex is very professional. The owner greeted us at the entrance and was very kind and down to earth, I love when he said that his place belong to the entire community and you could sense that once you're sitting there...Go and try the best empanadas & tortilla de patatas...Try it during the Happy Hour and come back some other day for dinner; you won't regret it ?

This place is amazing and an incredible find. The food, atmosphere and service are all outstanding. It feels a bit like Queens but in a positive way, like you’re dining with a family. The empanadas were the best I’ve ever eaten - and I’ve eaten a ton! The sizzling shrimp was incredible. The mini paella was sadly short on lobster but the rice, again, better than even what we had in Barcelona. An absolute must for the best authentic Spanish food! Love, love, love.
