Active Nigerian bar and restaurant in Times Square area. Numerous TV screens with sports and good Afrobeats played by the DJ. The drinks are good. The issue is that they get crowded so they can be a little on the slow side with the service. They are friendly though.

Second time dining. Another good experience. Could improve security & check-in/host station. I found security to be unnecessarily loud and pushy. When my dad and I were leaving I noticed it was raining out, so I stopped mid-walk to get my umbrella from my purse. The security had no patience to allow me to do that and yelled for me to keep walking and clear the entrance. Further, my 75 year old dad arrived after me. He walks slower (of course). When he arrived, he was further held up due to security asking him for identification. Really?? Come on now. He even walks with a limp for goodness sake! Is this a restaurant or a night club??

Festive decor, great service. The food is amazing and seasoned to perfection. This is my 3rd visit. Every dish I've tried is delicious. Coming back in 2 weeks with my family so they can experience it.

Calling anyone who lives Nigerian food! This spot is amazing. I originally went when they opened, and I remember enjoying the food. Returned with a friend during our weekend trip to NYC. She is a Nigerian-good expert, and she was left speechless. We debated whether the chef was Igbo or Yoruba, each wanting to claim that it was someone from “our” tribe that had created this magic. We ordered: pepper emailed, beef suya, Asun, fried rice with chicken, jollof rice with goat meat, and moi moi. Everything was giving 10/10. Our service was even great Highly recommend

The food was sooo good. My office is around the corner and I want to eat here daily now ? It is in Times Square so the prices are a bit ridiculous (12.00 for a child size portion of vegetables,..) and they auto-heat every check, which is annoying. But the service was good so we would have tipped 20% anyway. And again, the food was soo good.

If you are coming here for the drinks, music and club vibe? Okay, but the food in this place sucks.. I am convinced the cook is not an African chef, this is by far the worst African food I've ever tasted.. The food was overpriced and bland. The service was mediocre and pls check your bill, gratuity is automatically added despite the BAD FOOD.. Don't come here if you are looking for authentic African food..

Jollof rice very memorable and worth the visit. Can get very crowded and busy so reservations recommended. Two levels. First level more calm and second level a more lively atmosphere but music is very loud so will not likely be able to talk to your table mates if sitting upstairs when DJ is playing. Food full of good flavor. For non meat eaters-the seafood options are also delish.

Arrived early for our reservation. Kinda on purpose because we wanted to experience those dancers I saw in reviews. Sadly they weren't there at that time. Tip: the dancers come on later. Much later. IDs are checked at the door by a polite Bouncer followed by an equally pleasant Host who invited us to sit and wait at their downstairs bar. I had a nice time making new friends. In case they read this review, S/O to new pals Rick and Brooklyn Tee for keeping me company. There are tables against the wall parallel to this bar but it isn't private so I was happy when our table was ready and the Host ushered us upstairs. Nb, we were told the Host would alert us when our table was ready but after a while I checked and it was indeed ready, even though it didn't appear she was making any moves to let us know. There's a second bar upstairs and I noticed another flight of stairs leading to a third dinning area. The DJ was upstairs as well. Yo! The DJ and his Mic lady deserves a separate note to themselves! They played popular tunes from many genres but I was super happy to hear some current Soca Music! Of course they spun the hottest Afro beats. We were at LAGOS after all. And apparently they were gearing up for Nigerian artist Davido's (who was in town) after party. HUGE S/O to DJ Gregory Wilson! If there was nothing else I'd be back just for them! Sidenote, as it got later the music got louder and the vibe sweeter. Jollof Rice! Man I've been dying to try JR! It was sort of anticlimactic. Don't get me wrong, it tasted nice. But after all the tales I've heard of it, I expected something more. It tasted like a style many folks in the Caribbean make when they want something different. Similar cultural backgrounds and all. Maybe I should have the experience of eating it at a Nigerian's HOME? ION, I wasn't completely bowled over. We tried the Lagos Salad, Asun (smoked goat in scotch bonnet and habanero) not a fan of spicy, not even black pepper but, I HAD to at least try. It tasted great and burnt like shxt! I'm not doing it again haha. We also got sides of ham fries and sweet plantain. Everything tasted good. But, I won't run back for the food. I'll be back for the vibe. Great decor and vibe. Very attentive Manager and no one was hovering. Tables all around us seemed to be having a good time too. Dress code was mixed. We and others were casual but I saw some red carpet ensembles. Lagos is a solid 3.5 stars in my book. The End.

Yesterday, we hosted a fantastic Happy Hour and Fundraiser event at Lagos TSQ, and it was an absolute hit! Our guests couldn't stop raving about the incredible food and drinks served throughout the evening. The staff went above and beyond, ensuring that every detail was perfect and that our needs were met with enthusiasm and efficiency. A huge shoutout to Anthony Williams, our designated server, whose exceptional service made our event a success. He was attentive, friendly, and his attention to detail and hospitality didn't go unnoticed by our guests. Working with him was an absolute pleasure! I must also mention Kishawna, the Events Manager, whose expertise and professionalism made the planning process seamless and stress-free. She was a delight to work with and ensured that everything ran smoothly from start to finish. If you're searching for a venue with amazing vibes, delectable food, refreshing drinks, and a team of wonderful people, look no further than Lagos TSQ. We're already looking forward to hosting another event there in the near future!

Got there on a semi empty Wednesday evening (5:00 pm reservation) and had to wait 5 minutes to be seated and then 15 minutes before I was approached by a waiter. Mind you it's semi empty—plenty of empty tables on the top and bottom. Got my food and suya was charred, some piece were either super fatty or too hard to chew. Definitely the worst parts of the meat. Then the Lagos fried rice was stale, cold and flavorless. Only thing I enjoyed was the pineapple juice I drank.

My first time here was to celebrate my birthday and they did not disappoint. The food and drinks were delicious and the servers were very attentive. The music and atmosphere were perfect for my celebration. I can't forget how accommodating staff was with my reservation changes beforehand. Highly recommend.

Celebrated my sons 23rd birthday, with our family , and was very disappointed . The lemon pepper wings were overcooked , dry, really had no lemon pepper taste . The rasta pasta was also dry , bailey had any sauce. The jollof rice that we had taste burnt, it must of been the last bit b/c we got the bottom of the pot of rice that was burnt. Is it true this African- Caribbean restaurant is really owned by authentic Africans or Asian individuals??

Bae and I went for happy hour and gurlllll let me tell you. 4 Froses, 3 tacos and sliders later we were Lit! Great Vibes, Ambience and the live DJ playing the tunes. We will be seeing you for brunch soon !!

My recent visit to Lagos TSQ in NYC left me with mixed feelings. The ambiance of the restaurant was undeniably great, creating a welcoming and cozy atmosphere. However, the service provided by our server was just okay; she lacked the warmth and friendliness that one would expect. As for the food, it was good, but the prices were on the higher end, which might not suit everyone's budget. Despite the quality of the dishes, the steep prices might make it less accessible for some diners. Overall, Lagos TSQ offers a pleasant dining experience with its inviting ambiance and delicious food, but improvements could be made in terms of service quality and pricing to enhance the overall value for customers.

Made reservations in advance for ten. Was told if anyone cancels we will be charged Arrived 45 mins early WITH RESERVATIONS STILL HAD TO WAIT ON LINE IN THE COLD WAITED FOR ABOUT 30 MINS SECURITY SELECTED WHO THEY WANTED TO SEARCH. SECURITY ALLOWED SOME INDIVIDUALS TO SKIP THE LINE. Upon arrival with reservations we had to wait online while watching a group of 20 members refuse to move from the front entrance. Security announced she will not let anyone in because of them. THEY told her they were not moving. She decided to let my party of ten inside. In the corridor there was one way in and one way out. There is no waiting room, it's congested, and the host arr arguing with each other. Finally we were seated. Lagos decided to seat a group of ten for a a birthday party next to the bar so we could look at everyone's back and ass in our face while we eat. I requested to sit upstairs, was told there was no space. As I sat down someone in my group yelled THEIR FIGHTING! a whole brawl had ensued, about five girls on top of my feet lying on floor fighting. I LITERALLY WATCHED THIS for about 4 mins. NO SECURITY! finally security came inside from OUTSIDE! the girls broke themselves up, NOT ONE OF THE INDIVIDUALS FIGHTING KICKED OUT. the hostess found slippers and was DESPERATELY trying to locate the owner of them. I immediately told them I was leaving and do not charge my card No orders for drink or food was taken, no apology.
