Quaint gem we were lucky enough to stumble into. The staff could not have been more lovely and accommodating and the food was phenomenal!

Cozy place for fantastic food and service! We got the crab cake, the duck confit, and the beef bourguignon. Everything was sooo delicious. We didn’t have an appetite for dessert but I’m sure they’ll be as good.Service was phenomenal too. Love the hairstyle of the staff :)

Dinner at Le Gigot was an absolute delight and everything I hoped from a charming bistro in the village! Amazing wine selection and a top-notch menu, attentive service, and a quaint and warm atmosphere. Coming in on a cold, rainy evening, Le Gigot was a very welcome shelter from the storm :)

The ambiance is perfect-- cozy and cute with an energetic vibe. It was a beautiful escape from the city streets. The food was also delicious. My only complaint is that the wine list is very overpriced. Otherwise, dinner was perfection!

An exquisite Provencal experience in Greenwich Village! The decor of the small space transports the diner. The food and the staff are perfection! We dined pre-theater and there were people waiting for tables as we left. Generous pours of wine, oysters, charcuterie board, and creme brûlée left us bedazzled! This one should be on your NYC dining experience bucket list!

After a screening of " The Taste of Things", my friend and I decided to dine French and this charming restaurant fit the bill perfectly. We shared a classic endive salad, bouillabaisse, and coq aux vin, and with glasses of a crisp Muscadet. The food, ambiance and service were excellent and on a par what was created and served in the film!

I had walked past Le Gigot many times, and always meant to try it and last night was finally time. My meal far exceeded all expectations! The service was excellent but beyond that there was a warmth and genuine feeling of hospitality from all the staff but a special shout out to Daniel our bartender/server, a lovely man who steered us well. Also to hear the words ‘if you need more bread just let us know’ took me back to more hospitable days when ‘bread and butter’ was a not a $9 menu item. The food was flawless, extremely fresh plump oysters, light cod croquettes, the crab pasta, and a perfect steak frites. I love this little gem and will definitely be back.

Cozy place for a date night, or just enjoying good food. The escargots is the best I have ever had; the main has generous share and is perfectly seasoned. The complimentary bread is sooo good! I can't help having a second slice even though I was already full.I must also mention that the service is the best I have had for a while. They served us in a very chill fashion, not too pushy but when you need anything they are around. They are definitely confident in their food and proud to work here. They don't come over asking how's everything too often and leave us to good food and our talks.

On first glance, this is a nice little French bistro. Dining here, the crab tagliatelle was one of the single best dishes I had in 2023. It defies belief that such an exquisite dish hasn't garnered more attention. The escargot, steak frites, and and bouillabaisse were very good. The cheese plate was uninteresting.

OK French bistro food, but nothing special. Wilted salad and crème brûlée with the custard hot and the sugar too thick were both notable disappointments. Nothing horrible, but almost as expensive as seriously good French food in the city, which this was definitely not.

We had a fine dinner at your establishment. Your service was excellent. Hat tip to the coat management on a frigid night! However the cassoulet was disappointing and lacking in flavor. The apple tartine also was not up to snuff and seemed microwaved. The highlight was the bread, wine and crab cake. The fig ice cream also was good.

I find myself at Le Gigot every year or so and each time I say I need to come more often. Straightforward as the menu seems, all the dishes are perfectly prepared and well seasoned. It's a very small space but you don't feel cramped and the service is excellent. Affordable high quality wines just add to how easy and comforting it is to dine here!

The very best service that experienced during our 4 days in NYC. Our server provided excellent recommendations for both food and wine and the host was extremely welcoming. We try to dine here every time we come to the city. Tiny space so reservations are a must
