I have been trying different slices of pizza around the Lower East Side in hopes of finding a slice that is good and under $4 per slice. Not even great, just good. It has proved much harder than you might think.Even if a slice blows me away, it's like north of $5 and that just goes against the whole ethos of pizza by the slice, at least to me. A great slice of pizza has almost become a special occasion only for me, which is criminal.As I walked into Little Gio's, the first thing I noticed was a $3 slice, $3.50 with a topping. The 2nd thing I noticed was a picture of the owner(?) with a So Far Gone era Drake in the establishment. Respect.The respect was immediately chin checked when they said it was a $5 minimum on a card after I ordered 1 slice of cheese, but much to Gio's chagrin, I had cash on me.......They forsure preferred that ahaha I just wanted to work "chagrin" into this review.I was lowkey pissed at the $5 card minimum, but this slice of pizza was actually EXACTLY what I was looking for. A thin crispy crust on the bottom but not burnt, with hangtime when you pick it up, and a great cheese to sauce ratio. My new goto spot for a quick, cheap slice.It would be interesting to do a full analysis of the pizza by the slice market pricing over the past 10 years. I'm sure someones done it though. I feel like everything has been done at this point.....I have seen multiple other reviews across Google and Yelp say that they have seen a tip added on their credit card statement that they did not give.... I will admit, I had a fair amount to drink before we stopped by here, so my recollection is a little hazy. Just pointed at random slices that looked tasty. I do recall devouring the pizza like a cavewoman when we got back to the hotel, so there's that! Big slices of pizza pie to soak up all the alcohol from earlier? This will do the trick!

I'd consider this to be on the lower end of generic NYC street pizza. Not very fresh, not very cozy, the usual options. Prices aren't excessive I suppose, but not cheaper than average either. Look somewhere else if possible, but will do what it's there for late night...

Little Gios pizza... so yum. Hit the spot at 1 AM and was still fresh. Recommended to me by the host at Wiggle Room. There's famous ppl who have been there on the walls too which is pretty cool!

This was a pretty average spot for a late night slice. The Sicilian pizza was a bit on the dry and tough side, but the price was reasonable and the food was prepared with relative speed.

Visited Christmastime 2022, still thinking about this pizza Sept 2023. Fast service, very straightforward. Great flavor, crust, all of the things. Whenever I'm back in NYC, I will make a point to revisit Little Gio's.

The pizza is good, however the last time I was at this place was a month ago and I was charged yesterday for a pizza I did not have. PLEASE DONT USE YOUR CREDIT OR DEBIT CARD HERE BECAUSE YOU WILL HAVE CHARGES ADDED TO YOUR CARD WITHOUT YOUR KNOWLEDGE.
