Michelin recommended, saw my favorite chef post about their fermented tea leaf salad. If only I could have salads like these everyday: it was different with every bite. It had surprises the whole time we ate it. We also got the Burmese pancake and cassava cake — texturally so interesting too. Thank you so much to the staff as well ; you were so kind to us!

Remember it's a cash only spot... Or at least learn about it after you order and run out to the nearest ATM because the food is great and worth the short term panic.Great staff. Patient and explained our dumb menu question. Thankful they understood we wanted to see if certain things (though not labeled as vegetarian/vegan friendly) could be made to be veggie friendly. And they were able to (specifically for the tea leaf salad that defaults with dry shrimp and fish sauce).Solid place. No alcohol served. Looking forward to going back again.

Food is perfectly dreadful. People well-meaning, but have to re-examine their recipes. Way(!) too much garlic (and I love garlic) and rotting tiny shrimps in their salad. Ok, I had a bad experience. Hope yours was better.

What a phenomenal surprise! I had this restaurant marked from an article I read, and had lunch there solo. The dining room is very small and I took the last table. The flavors and textures were balanced, memorable, and unique. I've never had Burmese food before, and the menu was a great glimpse into the flavor profile. I only wish I could have tried everything on the menu! They are cash-only as of this writing, so come prepared. If you ever need to expand, come on up to the Upper West Side please!

This place is so good. ❤️ we had the tea leaf salad with anchovies…omg so so yummy. Goat curry so savory and delicious. Pancake was good like a dosa but with rice flour. Tamarind juice was perfect. My new fav neighborhood spot. Please support local businesses. They came from Jackson heights in the subway station. Super authentic!!!

Maybe just don’t review this place if you don’t like Burmese food? Cause this is some of the best you can get in NYC and probably the country. Affordable with insane flavors you won’t find anywhere else.

Little Myanmar given its square footage regrettably lacks the convenience of a restroom, a fact worth bearing in mind for those contemplating dining here. The tea leaf salad proved nothing short of revelatory, a culinary sensation unlike any I had encountered before. Its medley of ingredients, though an odd mix, delivered a delightful crunch and an exquisite fusion of flavors. Even though I would have preferred the paratha served separately rather than being dipped in the soup, the chicken paratha was a commendable appetizer boasting ample portions and robust flavor.Vegetarian options: The tea leaf salad can be modified for vegans. There are also vegetarian dishes available.

Heard about this place from Righteous Eats and had to check it out when I was in the area! So delicious. Service was very nice - food came out quickly and so fresh. Prices are reasonable and high quality. They don’t have a bathroom fyi but wasn’t a problem - there are a lot of coffee shops in the area.
