Single men beware of being taken advantage of and scammed by Miles the bartender who works Fridays and has his friends seduce men at the bar in order to run up their tab hundreds of dollar then writes himself his own tip. After my bank updated the charge on my account the following Monday I noticed a charge of over $600. I then visited the establishment asking for the receipt and saw that an illegible tip was written and signed with an illegible signature. After looking at the receipt I was charged $330 for 6 shots, totaling $55 per shot which is insane and additional service fees. After speaking with Liz in bookkeeping, Pheobe in management and Devone a Director of the restaurant group, I was told I’d be refunded $100 (A minuscule amount compared to the amount that I had been taken advantage of) next day, because it was clear both tip and signature were illegible... He also promised that if I didn’t receive the funds the next day for me to return to the establishment for complimentary sushi while he refunded me on sight…. The next day comes and no refund, no invite to return as he promised for an onsite refund and no sushi. I was however texted a screenshot of an email from their controller from Devone saying the refund was processed the previous day I visited and should be receiving the deposit same day or next. It’s been three days and nothing. I warned them that I’d post a review of my experience if things weren’t handled within the expectations he set. Terrible service, plus the director overpromising and underdelivering is distasteful. I had fun there, unknowing that I was being taken advantage of by the bartender and his two friends who coincidentally showed up the same time I did. I don’t believe in coincidence. I’ve heard about how bartenders pay women to run up single guys bills, and after sharing my experience with my friends they confirmed I was a victim of this. I will not be returning, ever. Beware.

This was by far one of the best restaurant experiences I’ve had in quite a long time. My husband and I were in town unexpectedly and could greatly appreciate the care and great service we were shown at Lure by the professional staff. The ambiance was incredibly inviting and relaxing…just what we needed at this time. Chef Preston is amazing and one of the most humble and kind individuals. The time and attention he shows guests is amazing and very thoughtful! He’s turned me into a sushi eater. :-) Thank you Lure!

i wanted to wait and try other places to see if my mind has changed, but this is the best restaurant ive had in nyc. not only is the food fantastic (we tried the oysters), but the espresso martini was great as well! we loved the lobster mac and cheese as well as the sushi (lure house roll). i will be returning!

I frequent Lure often, and always have the most amazing time and great food, but last night Lure particularly went above and beyond to accommodate a birthday group for 12 people last minute at 10:45 pm. We had originally hosted a surprise party at Soho House, and because of the no photo policy, we went to Lure to cut the cake and have a round of drinks. They set up a BEAUTIFUL 12 person table for us, were so attentive to the party (even though they were nearly closing), kind to our table and so sweet to the birthday girl, and did not rush us with ordering food. We lingered in the restaurant for a long time after, and no one tried to rush us out, but rather said happy birthday again to the birthday girl when we left. I think more restaurants need to take note of the quality of service that Lure provides. They go above and beyond to make everyone feel at home, and it is noticeable! Thank you so much to Victoria and Cici, our servers, who were so fun to talk to and so incredibly helpful with cutting the cake, taking photos and delivering our food. Thank you to Judy the hostess who so kindly seated us and helped to prepare a wonderful table scape!Y’all all go above and beyond!!

Went here for a birthday dinner. We ordered:Crispy rice hamachi: would recommend. Rice was crunchy and fish was good.Spicy tuna roll: disappointed. Coming to an establishment like this, I am expecting higher quality. I would say it was on par with grocery store sushi.Bash burger: this is constantly listed on top burger lists. In my opinion, it’s a decent burger, but I have had better.Atmosphere: loved the boat theme. Very well lit and not too loud.Service: they were short staffed for a Sunday evening. Was very disappointed to see management walking around but not seeming to help out.
