M J Smith's is a hidden gem in New York. It's got a very Irish pubby feel with alcohol that doesnt break your bank. The wait staff is professional and friendly. The wait time is quick and the alcohol is tasty. They have a wide variety to boot and there's a lot of space. Price is better than most of the inner city.A must see in New York.Vegetarian options: All dishes can either be substituted or changes for your convenience.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free, vegan, vegetarian options exsist. We dinned here last night and had a blast. Everything from the ambiance, service and food was amazing. Special shout out to Mike L who took great care of us with excellent and sincere service. We have a 9 month old baby and we dine out frequently, Mike L went above and beyond for my son with anything we needed. He even offered to wash his Binky off after my son threw it on the floor. Cheers to you, Mike L for making a great memorable experience for me and my family.

Absolutely amazing! Owned by an actual Irish family, all of whom were very nice and attentive. Food is absolutely amazing and reasonably priced. I highly suggest it here if you are in Midtown!

I was in the neighborhood shopping and I stumbled upon this gem! It's a truly wonderful surprise. It is in the heart of Bryant park and Rockefeller and I came when it was packed with tourists. It was a lively environment at the bar. I sat alone at the bar. The bartenders were incredibly attentive. They made me an authentic lemonade which was delicious. I had a garden salad with balsamic dressing ahi tuna and a side of fries. The salad was big fresh and delicious. The tuna was fresh. It comes in a tea cup and though it looks smaller it is filled completely with tuna. It came with two plantation chips. It could use more chips but the fish was fresh. I also had the fries which were hand cut and delicious. It is a laid back but upscale feel. They had the football games on. The space has an upstairs. I look forward to coming back as the prices are appropriate for the area, the food was delicious and the staff was great! Thank you for a wonderful afternoon.

Food was great, we were visiting NYC and it was just the atmosphere I was looking for. We ended up eating at the bar because of a screw up by My Table but the Manager did everything he could to help and we grabbed a spot at the bar.

Bartender Michael makes the most amazing drinks! The atmosphere is always welcoming and all bar staff are friendly and professional. It's my first stop Everytime I got into Manhattan.

Came on a Saturday night after seeing a show and was expecting a bar, but we walked into a dance party with a DJ. Played great music, but the crowd ranged from 30 to 60, ha! We had a good time, but my at all what we were looking for.
